Wierd Glitches

NEED Help to confirm bug.
I have reported this.

I am at the edge of the center.
I travel to the center.
After the movie showing you go to the center etc.
I end up at the same place with a broken ship.
I am still at the edge of the center.
Same system/Region.

Thanks

It seems you can get around both the reputation and learning words issues by talking to NPCs. You can learn words for 10 unit, and give them gifts for reputation gains. Hope it helps.
Edit: I have found ONE planet that was mild weathered and green. I’m still there.

In normal (chill) mode. Haven’t deleted old save or started a new save file (yet), Went to place an exocraft pad down on an intriguing radioactive planet only to learn that I no longer have the recipe for voltaic cells. I really do not want to have to start over…

If you already know all words, you can NOT use the NPCs to learn another word. (At least, several people can not.)

@TravelEcho it appears you need to relearn several of your base building rewards by doing the quests again from the specialists at your base. If they are not offering, you may need to re-hire a specialist.

Ah, ok, thank you. I’ll give that a try. Haven’t been back to my home planet yet. Guess it’s time to bite that bullet.

Yep, or just make a new one somewhere you like and don’t look back.
The reason they did this was probably coz some resources got changed (spadonium → cactus juice? etc). This means the old recipes are all invalid, and new, equivalent ones, need to be obtained.

This is my life now.

… I don’t suppose my 5 stacks of Spadonium have magically transformed into Cactus Juice… (probably too much to hope for. lol)

Looks rather Sisyphusian

They did actually. All existing base resource stacks got converted to their new equivalent. All existing crafted items got re-labeled to “obsolete” or something.

Oh, wow! I tend to expect the worst from change so that is unexpectedly good to hear. Thanks. :joy:

I should also point out that some of them changed in price, which likely means your resources are now worth a little less. But assuming you kept them in stock to build things, they should still be good for that.

@Shota my existing crafted items weren’t re-labeled as obsolete, they’re still there (and usable) as are some of the blueprints, though not all. Also, yes seeing the occasional value go down, some have gone up too…nice

@TravelEcho I did have to do what Shota suggested previously here:

…had to relocate due to extreme environmental change on my home planet. However the voltaic cell issue remains - blueprint gone but listed as required item for crafting certain things - and after re-hiring staff at my new build, they still currently aren’t giving me the quests to do to regain any further knowledge/skills I might need, so I’d say that since HG are aware, the key is to for us to just hang in there for the time being and go exploring some more. It’s rapid how the team are working on things that need fixing so I don’t think we need worry.

Yes. Mostly waiting on rigogen so I could finish my farm. Never did find a water world pre-1.3 – hoping for better luck this time, unless of course rigogen no longer exists. ;`)

@capturleat ::nods:: I’m expecting that to have happened to me too. I’m just about to go through a space station port to home base for the first time. So I will know soon enough if I have to move or not. :`)

Yes @TravelEcho know that rigogen does indeed still exist albeit with a new name, trying to remember now what it is, so much new to remember, haha! Something Sac…about to nip back in myself so I’ll take a look, think I have some left in a crate…good luck!

Kelp Sac! That’s the name

Yep, was about to say it got renamed too. Also not all crafted items are labeled obsolete, but those that changed their recipe (voltaic cells for one) did.

As for my home planet… perhaps I should go there. Last time I was there (1.2) it was an ugly overheated (perhaps even extreme) world, so who knows, it could be paradise by now. :stuck_out_tongue:

My home planet used to have lovely days and very cold nights. I used to be able to wait out the nights and roam freely during the daytime.

Strangely, when I first got there through the port, it said weather: temperate. But I logged to the mode select window and now it it is listed as weather: Toxic Clouds. Weird glitch, but it’s not so bad since my Roamer is still here in good shape. (So far)

Another Glitch is that my Colossus full of mats and extra warp cells was also there, but after I relogged it had disappeared. I circumnavigated my base a couple of times to make sure those pesky sentinels didn’t think it was fun to tip it over the edge into a cave hole – lol) And now of course I can’t get it back because the recipe has changed and I have to go find the specialists again. The colossus was the only Exo I didn’t still have the pad down for (I needed the mats quickly), so I guess without the pad there for it the game didn’t think it was actually there. ::shrug::

I’ll be looking for a new base as soon as I’ve checked to see if this one has oceans first.

I also miss the glide action after pulse flying… that just stopping is making me carsick!

For PS4, you can hold down the R2 button for a better cruising speed. However, it speeds up if you let go.
