Isn’t it amazing how many wonderful tangents one finds during an investigation. Thanks for sharing, I am learning so much

Calling the number on the echo-64.com website, people have reported a 5 second pause between the beeps after the pre-recorded message (answering machine) provided the caller does not speak or make any sound.

However, there is a 5 MINUTE pause between the beeps if anyone DOES speak or produce sound.

On the website, it says this:

Is it only my understanding that we are prompted to call the number and leave a message???

EDIT: @TypicalHog wow solid work with the audio! I am writing this here cause I reached my limit

I managed to clean up an audio of the 2 video clips from the wakingtitan.com a little bit. (There is a chance more can be done)

EDIT 1: Formatting
EDIT 2: Maybe we could do the same with tapes, they look like they could align up nicely.
EDIT 3: This guy has just figured out what to do with 2 clips but I have aligned them to get better quality audio, so I’m not just taking his credit.

Just search through the source of the site if you have the time, we can use every little help we get

Has anyone seen blackmirror? There’s a episode where the husband of a lady dies in a car crash, after the funeral she discovers a website that can imitate dead loved ones to get some closure. You could text with them or even talk with them. Sounds familiar?

There is music hidden in the second sequence
it starts at roughly 6.5 seconds and you have to play it at 0.05 speed

this is a wav, I slowed the part down

I can verify this is legit. Slowed down my audio file, and that same music(?) is there. But only on the second vid, not the first one.

Great find!

Nice find! Could you upload it to soundcloud or clyp.it ?

I wanted to make sure this got referenced here in our list of things to continue looking into. The Careers page has a link to a Youtube video about the Dropbox offices. We may be looking for a 15 character string to get a file from dropbox.

Check the following link which shows the same page, but with the correct ‘amazonaws’ link(s) to the image.

I like the gravatar by the way :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

in the code of this site (press ctrl+u in chrome to see the html code)is a link to a youtube video: Drop by the Dropbox Office | TC Cribs - YouTube Drop by the Dropbox Office | TC Cribs uploaded by TechCrunch on 7.12.2012.
A dropbox share URL looks like this: Dropbox - Error (“15characters” is replaced with 15 random alphanumeric characters). Considering this as a possibility, keep your eyes peeled for 15 character solutions.

So the only reason I can think of why they linked to the video of Run Lola Run is the following:
Could be the Cause-effect they are hinting at?

“The film touches on themes such as free will vs. determinism, the role of chance in people’s destiny, and obscure cause-effect relationships. Through brief flash-forward sequences of still images, Lola’s fleeting interactions with bystanders are revealed to have surprising and drastic effects on their future lives, serving as concise illustrations of chaos theory’s butterfly effect, in which minor, seemingly inconsequential variations in any interaction can blossom into much wider results than is often recognized. (However, another explanation is that Lola’s interactions with them didn’t really cause anything. It’s just that each person inherently has vastly different possibilities of life trajectory, a different version of which is explored and shown in the three iterations.) The film’s exploration of the relationship between chance and conscious intention comes to the foreground in the casino scene, where Lola appears to defy the laws of chance through sheer force of will, improbably making the roulette ball land on her winning number with the help of a glass-shattering scream.”
“However, the film can also be regarded as emphasizing the free will side, as in each iteration, Lola improved the outcome by being more and more determined and assertive of her actions. Other characters’ stories can be regarded as only asides to Lola’s: they didn’t take resolute and self-aware actions as Lola did so they got mostly random outcomes.”

The film has three vastly different endings with the same starting situation. The endings are this different because of the Markov-chain theory. The Markov-chain is also mentioned on http://www.echo-64.com/our-services/
Echo utilizes a custom cloud computing solution to bring the voices and personalities of those you cared about back to life. Our patented audio recognition and mental reconstruction system pairs with a powerful Markov chain-inspired personality drive to create a perfect simulation.
The Markov-chain theory says (in this use) that with the same starting situation due to smallest changes the situation could lead to a very different outcome.

Great catch, that to me would explain the relation. You agree? I think we have something here!

The Old Gods user on here has a quote on his profile very similar to this Markov principle.

Had a look and the quote is dickens from a christmas carol. And it seems to be after Scrooge has seen his own grave:

“Are these the shadows of the things that Will be, or are they shadows of things that May be, only? Men’s courses will foreshadow certain ends, to which, if persevered in, they must lead, but if the courses be departed from, the ends will change. Say it is thus with what you show me!”

But the thing to me that seems a little strange is the latitude/longitude position. I have normally seen it in north and east, not south and west… Putting it into google sticks it in the middle of the sea, and so maybe the numbers are important for something else
