Singularity Expedition 10

Hmmm… Atlas Scissorhands.

Just picturing that is disturbing.

Another disturbing thing…

Report of a griefer bottling up new expedition players.

Here are a couple of the New Atlantid codes I’ve found while doing the expedition, if anyone wants to decode them, if they’re new:

We will never see home again.
A new Atlantid is coming.

My theory is that Atlantid was the AI in Korvax Prime. These “New Atlantid” spheres are new Korvax Primes trying to express themselves into existence, though corrupted because of the Void that the Atlantid became

Happy cake day!
I hope we get more info on both the Atlas and Void Mother. Are they actually competing? Are the echoes AI?

Oh wow, happy cake day!

I’ve been wondering, any expedition in the past has reintroduced unique story elements or moments from the expedition back in to the game at a later stage, usually by next update.

For example, wormskin folios can now be found in the game again, or adding living frigates after leviathan.

This ones a little different since its a much bigger story being told across several updates and expeditions. So what form will these things take in the base nms universe? The construct is visible for my main save now that I’ve built it on the expedition.

What I’m trying to get to is, for those who decided to keep Artemis in Polo’s Prime Terminal… Will we get unique flavour text if we have artemis in there and we start dropping in lots of new souls.

I just really wanna know what Artemis’s take is on this. I mean, I’d be kinda pissed to find out Polo could have just made me a crab suit this whole time and I could finally meet another Traveller.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, if echoes can be put into robots, why didn’t we build Artemis a new body or put it in an old Korvax shell?

I feel like HG might retcon that by saying that those are two different types of “souls”, since whatever convergence we’re building now doesn’t seem to be from the travellers. Although I’d love for the Artemis Storyline to get a few smaller updates to match the current game’s meta.

On my second playthrough, I finally managed to get the achievement for claiming the sentinel ship signposted from the starter camp.

You wouldn’t believe how complicated that turned out to be.

True, but both souls work in Nada’s simulation machine, so I see no logical reason they couldn’t both work in robotic machines as well

I saw a few people stating around the internet and in the game that the unlock is on a timer and theres no point in community contributing souls, so just posting this here for clarity

Except we jumped the gun on placing the collective in the new bot. We were supposed to wait until many more echoes were placed in the terminal. Instead of placing one echo in the bot, we are placing many. Isn’t that because none of them is whole? So the more, the better.

I have been frustrated/puzzled that I cannot for the life of me get the original brain from the sentinel ship (that the camp sent me to) to do anything except close my inventory when I press/hold E (on PC).

I have completed the first for missions, but hesitate to leave the system without that ship. So if you or anyone could give me a hint… or a spoiler…

Tier 2 is at 1%. Doesn’t mean much for PC folk since the counter is not visible, any console people notice a change or addition to dialogue with advancement to tier 2?

Its possible its already marked the location and it might be covered up by comm ball markers etc but its not a requirement for the expedition, just something you can do at harmonic camps.

I had similar problems - in both playthroughs.

Actually, I could get the brain - but when I tried to interrogate it, nothing would happen.

Then, later on, I managed to probe the brain’s subconscious, and it sent out the scan pulse / wave - but it then failed to identify an ancient monument for me to process the brain. So the brain remained hostile, and I couldn’t put it back into the ship.

Initially, I abandoned the quest, and salvaged a sentinel ship from another planet. That worked OK, but it didn’t give me the achievement.

After many attempts, and a second game, I now think I know what at least part of the problem is.

When you operate the terminal in the starter camp, it will send you on a quest to salvage a sentinel ship. That is NOT the quest the achievement links to, and it can’t be completed on this planet.

What you need to do is go to your choices menu - this one:

Then go to “Log”, and manually select the quest. The game won’t do it for you. Then operate the terminal in the starter camp, and proceed as usual. It’s far from obvious.

We have completed Tier 1. Does that mean anything? No reward?

Well. Before it meant that rewards changed from class C to class B.

And we get to be on Tier 2.

When I look at my Atlas seeds, it says “press E to resonate”. When I do, nothing happens.

Am I supposed to hear something?

Mine have always produced an annoying racket. I’ve tried each of them up to Seed of Hope.
