Singularity Expedition 10

That is new, I am sure that I have flown without shields before. It was noisy, but worked.

If you are still in the expedition then I don’t know if you have the option but you may be able to switch to creative mode and fix the shields.

You might be able to build a base with a teleporter and go back to some dissonant system, buy a cheap ship in the station and go mine a mirror or two. If you don’t have a freighter yet then I wouldn’t warp away from your ship or you could lose it. At least it use to be that you would lose your extra ships when you warped (or the game crashed).
Once you get the mirror(s) call your broken ship to you to fix it.

You could walk around the planet that you are on and look for a downed ship or transmission tower. You should be able to gather the parts to fix that ship. Again without a freighter you risk losing your other ship. Leave a beacon so you can find it again.

If you have the 5M units and can build a base, you could teleport to the current system’s station, get a cheap ship and a locator, go to a derelict freighter and pickup the three repair kits.

Of course, you could call for a tow.

Confirmed, my update is available on PS5.

In the end, I walked in an outward spiral until I found a single-pad trading post. Then I waited until a trader came along in a cheap shuttle.

We’re back in business.

Hmmm.

Someone from another gaming community pinged me and asked what I was doing in NMS. I said, I was flying my green fluffy cow vertically up a cliff to reach the next expedition waypoint, just the usual. And he said “Whut?”
And looking back, I have to admit, it does sound slighly odd.

(Couldn’t take a better screenshot in multiplayer while the pet was running.)
Also my toon is sitting at a 45 degree angle

Should I start over? >.>

The story:
I started the new expedition today. Instead of immediately scouring the camp for clues I decided to go and farm some resources. I did that for about an hour and then found I couldn’t find the camp. And apparently I had managed to gain more than 250 atlantedeum which triggered a completion in Phase Two. So I reselected the Phase One mission and an icon for it showed up. Another long walk get to the camp. But no matter what, I could not get the Phase One “explore the Camp” to stick until I received the reward from the Phase Two.

Since I had no room in my inventory from all the gathering, I ran all the way to my ship and dumped a bunch of stuff off there, fixed what I could, but still needed that damn recipe to finish the job.

Now that the mission was sticking on Phase One #1 I ran all the way back to the Camp and was able to interact with all things there. but the mission refused to update. So I thought maybe I would investigate the Spike. Another run of about 20 minutes to the crashed ship, pulled out the brain and other two items and tried to interact with the brain so it would transform and let me pilot the ship. Nope and Nope. I held E on it and it just closed my inventory. :`P

I re-logged and no change. I ran twenty minutes back to the camp. and no change. Except now the robot head had no prompt to interact with it anymore.

I’m stymied. Any suggestions? Or should I just start over? :joy:

Maybe, since you’re right at the beginning?

At the first camp, one interaction gives us the waypoint for the sentinel ship and we also need to press C (for the scanner) - my problem was that I mistook one marker for the other and went (similar to you) to the sentinel ship first.

The first sentinel ship I found had no ui and I left it behind. The second one had three materials that could be taken and a repair button. The first one only had a repair button that didn’t do anything. Is that intended?

I’m not sure whether I was not paying attention or whether there is a UX problem.

OMG! Thank you! I somehow missed the directive to press C/scan. I just did that while standing in the camp and the Phase One part 1 completed. Just like that.

Was there supposed to be something showing up, some icon I needed to travel to after I did the scan in the camp?

Someone on twitter stated there is a limit to how many echoes, daily, count towards the community goal. Either 10 or 20. Can anyone confirm this?
Also I added the Atlas Codex to the top post for any who want a summary of translated items

The server’s are misconfigured on HG’s end rn and are not connecting properly despite still being up. Please do not submit any Echo’s for now as these will not be counted towards the CM Progress.

UPDATE: So the issue isn’t with the Auth servers themselves not parsing the game’s data, it’s with Steam’s Authentication Tokens which HG uses to Authenticate game clients with their own servers, so we’re waiting on Steam to fix the issue rn.

how do we submit stuff to the codex? Some of my finds from day one only went up last night and I’d been bombarding the people posting this on reddit about the Discovered by ASCII not being mentioned '^ _ ^ I just wanna get ETARC on the sourced links <3

There is a Discord invite in the link in the top post

Once the Auth Servers are back I can check the responses and see what the current cap is.

For those on PS4 the badge showed up this morning. I haven’t checked my system yet but we should be getting the update now.

BTW, the certificate for HG’s website went missing last night and a new one showed up this morning. Last night it showed a generic * . azurewebsites . net certificate with a bad common name error (possibily MS’s way of handling expired certs).

Was wondering why I was getting “not connected to discovery services”. Took me back to 2016-2018 <3 Forgot that circle turned blue

So this means folk on console should be able to see progress and still submit? Anyone on playstation or xbox wanna tell a traveller how far along we are now? Tier 1 was at about 30% when I saw it last.

I’ve heard it’s 44% from other travellers, not sure if the Galactic Atlas is displaying it yet or not.

Considering that Tethys is on the run from Sentinels and is probably afraid of them, Polo sure is a jokester putting together a Frankenstein’s Monster of Sentinel parts with Switchblade hands and Spider Legs right next to them :stuck_out_tongue:
