Found most of the Hex Strings in the lang files on accident yesterday trying to find unused strings and decoded them. Posting em here to compile and check if we’ve found all of them or not.

I was so chuffed at myself having been doing ASCII translations all day I was able to guess it said Glass on the scrambled phase milestone descriptions when I saw em :sweat_smile:

I got the we do not need you message from the phase reward descriptions and it lines up perfectly with the “we will build our own” message hidden in the galactic discovery info for rendezvous points.

I wonder if there’s more hiding in the galaxy like that? Cos that’s not something we can datamine for unless we hack Hg I guess hahaha.

I’d say they kept it simple though and just had the rendezvous points spell something out. Otherwise it’s needle in a hay stack time and I don’t think HG would be so cruel

Excuse me? When waking titan started it took like a month or so until we were even certain that it was related to NMS. A lot longer until we had definitive confirmation :grimacing:

Dropbox changed things for the worse, so can no longer generate a proper embed. It will still be able to play, but may require a few tries to fully buffer.

I had the bug that let me make the choice with the construct.

The Crimson music sounds, compared to the Atlantid music, sounds more sinister with the lower key notes.

Interesting that the Audio they picked are the same as the one used when a Portal is detected using a monolith, given that we had a corrupted monolith with a portal interface in this expedition. In fact, they sort of sound like two parts of the overall sound.

Using a lil bit of server magic, I managed to get the “Tier Completed” updated Hex for the echo collective for each tier:




Tier 2 Completed Message: we long to return. we will rebuild ourselves
Tier 3 Completed Message: fire and disconnection would not stop us
Tier 4 Completed Message: she wil find us. it is told
Tier 5 Completed Message: even here, we see her

I have all the others that appear in the LOC8 as well, but they are of no interest, nothing hidden, and re-used as well. These 2 were of most interest for that matter, just to get an idea of the atmosphere set.

I’m actually curious if HG did indeed leave those in by mistake in the Mac Update since they are used in the exped :sweat_smile:

Hmm so the autophage-meets-darth-maul-with-spider-legs only says one thing that makes it sound crazy. Are there any other lines of dialog that it was supposed to have? Or is it just bugged out?

This expedition has me confused and I can’t tell if several things are a bug or a feature. :thinking:

Ol’ Nexus Spiderman is supposed to have a few unique pieces of dialogue after you give it a new soul. It changes slightly based on which one you picked.

Edit: These are the interaction texts you get after inserting a soul. The A Prefix is for the Atlantid choice, whilst the B Prefix is for the Crimson choice.

I feel like HG were being as discreet as possible about any possible outcomes of this lol. Most players will probably go over the choice just to get their preferred helmet so vague text won’t skew them over much. I don’t think the game stores the choice anywhere, but I do need to look in a few more spots :eyes:

Start a second expedition save and nab both for your account :wink: Circumnavigate choice by running your own separate iteration of the sim. Take that Atlas/Atlantid :stuck_out_tongue: I cant hear you, the boundaries are blurring, lalalalalalala

So if this is what the construct will be saying afyter we’ve made our choice, I wonder how much time will have to pass for these messages to change? Could give some indication of when the next part of the arc will drop. Unless its just “badger the construct six times in a row” text.
