So I’ve decided out of curiosity, I’m going to follow the portal coords to the starting system. See whats happening there while everyone else is in experimental mode. Thankfully its in Euclid :LD
So far, so good. Smooth expedition. Gotta make a grocery pickup and I will return.
Visiting this Expeditions beautiful starting planet on a normal save.
First stark difference I’m noticing (from waht I’ve seen of the Expedition) is the atmosphere isn’t littered with destroyed freighters.
I’ve actually never found a white grass planet naturally, so I’m very happy to be building a home here and exploring it with other travellers who had the same idea :3 This was a little hillside base someone had built not far from the Portal
And this is one I’ve started building in a deep crater. Calling it Omega Hole for the mo.
Be interesting to see what comes of this base if I decide to enter the expedition using this saves character. Will our bases be one of the aspects we can access that carry over to the expedition? Can’t wait to find out!
Can you interact with that glowing blue pad?
Did you snap that there in build mode? Or is this somewhere on the Nexus?
Maybe this is where you enter an Expedition with an exisiting character?
Nothing so fancy. It’s just a warp pad to the landing pads below.
And yes, the storage containers are in build mode for my base. They snap into the walls and make a nice doorway opening.
It seems like this new feature could be useful for hard-to-find items that are already in your main save. There is one item in “beautifying your base” where you need Star Silk. This is hard to find, but it looks like I could have brought it along with me if I had some in my main save (sadly I did not).
finished it tonight. enjoyed it. did it normal way…had already started before realized i could start from anomaly…seen 6 days and panic came upon me lol, then too lazy to start over
I heard we are getting a pirate freighter in the expedition.
Still trying to complete it. Steam Deck presents challenges to my hands and eyes…hoping I get there before time is up.
