Guess the new hostiles are insectoid… Oh no, not THEM!!!
I have been asking for some sort of bust or wall mounts for a while, these trophies will do nicely 
Jusging by the bug hunt poster it seems to indicate some bugs may be found among or maybe hiding under specific plant types? Or maybe it indicates climate type? Or Diet?

Carve through the toughest enemies in a new heavy duty mech suit. All those who do their part in the Liquidators expedition will unlock these new combat-focused components for the Minotaur.
As the community purge the vile brood from the universe, plans for these parts will become available at the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion for those unable to take part in the expedition.
So will this be similar to the usual community unlocks only there will be a quota to fill in the expedition as a milestone I’m guessing?
Could be one of those expeditions that takes a few days to fill a milestone 
“Kill 18 quintillion bugs collectively”

The patch notes clarified the unlocks for those not taking part.
As the community makes progress in the expedition, the Liquidator Mech will become available at the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion for those unable to take part.
So it seems like for future expeditions, anyone who misses the window or chooses not to take part can still get some of the unique rewards, in this case the new mech bits. Looks like the chitin bits will be expedition exclusive

Patch notes just said soon…maybe after the last firework opens in the QS store? Although, I don’t think XBox has gotten the update yet unless it happened this morning…anyone know?

Xbox owners are always too busy being cool, partying and surfing and whatever people do in mountain dew ads now… They never have time to keep us posted on online forums 
They live that crazy fast gamespass lifestyle. The only thing freer than the games is their soul :')
(I took major artistic license, they’re actually on twitter yelling at Hello Games about it, sounds like MS certification red tape holding it up.)

A generic expedition question: I now have 12 ships which is putting a damper on my ship scrapping hobby.
- I don’t recall which ship I got where. Is there one that I can theoretically reclaim?
- Can I reclaim expedition rewards only if swap the reward ship?
- What if I scrap it, then I can not claim it again in the same save?

Expedition ships can be reclaimed at any time. However, you cannot surpass the limit without making a swap.
You can scrap and reclaim expedition ships. I have had no issue
