These are good. I always wondered how the pirates knew you had arrived in - system.

If you destroy the monitoring station, pirates will come to attack you. It’s kind of fun to be in control of the event.

I don’t assume that pirate spawn frequency decreases when you blow it up… ?

Hard to say - it’s pretty random at the best of times. I suspect not. But then, it’s probably not the only monitoring station in the system. Just because you’ve destroyed one, doesn’t mean the pirates aren’t stil;l watching you on others.

That’s the way I rationalise it, anyway.

My 3rd (and final ) Living Ship mission result, in my youngest save.
More a creamy yellow than my other 2 and it fires green glowy things instead of the typical blue cannon projectiles. The differences between these ships is quite subtle.

Oh, my problem is not so much rationalisation, it’s just that it would have been the first ever hint of HG making the systems slightly interactive. Which would be an exciting development.

I’m wondering if some of these ancient bones are from these ships.

Just remembered this post from a few days back.
During the Living Ship missions, during one stage, in one briefing in the Log, there is a reference to ‘metal bones’.
Given found bones are often cracked or petrified I think those may be something else…maybe.

However, there was a speculative mention, (here somewhere), about Living Freighters in future & I was just reminded of the massive skulls that can be found floating in space, although I’ve never personally seen one. @DevilinPixy (I think) posted a pic somewhere.

Wow! Nice! I am having trouble finding the Heart Node upgrades. The hyperdrive range is what I noticed. Can you now jump more than 1 system at a time?
My baby’s Gazing Eyes can now slice through pirates with ease.

I got my egg from the QS trader (on Creative Mode) and immediately put it in a storage container until I can figure out how I’m going to have the time to do the thing. I hope it won’t asphyxiate in there.
