My understanding is Pugh was more of a level designer than a game designer and might have forgotten that there’s no I in cooperatve creatvty, until all the moniii ran out.
Yes. Thats exactly what it is. A remake. The deluxe edition. Nothing more to see there. Move along. Just a regular ol shinier port. To relive those memories and never ever ever question how perfect and brilliant those memories are
First time hearing about this game, I don’t think I’ve played any Rebellion games since Sniper Elite 2 but the alternate britain timeline kinda reminds me of Resistance and that game always held such promise. Intrigued but will probably wait for verdict after release.
A younger me always looked forward to a 18 minute kojima trailer that left us with more confusion than anything. Then I’d watch it a million times and show all my friends (back when you’d get trailers on DVDs and tour your friends houses with them).
These days I’m happy to just side step trailers entirely and go in dark.
I dunno, to a Swiss that dedication to cheese doesn’t seem all that extraordinary… (also, I honestly forgot about the cheese worship until you brought it up).
I really liked Oblivion - I still do. I never understood why it was so underrated.
Apart from anything else, the Ayleid ruins were some of the most beautiful and arresting graphics I’ve ever seen in any game.
Tried twice to get into Oblivion, but couldn’t. It was the last elder scrolls game I’ve played. The beginning of the end. The moment it turned from an RPG into a theme-park ride. Just didn’t speak to me anymore.
Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game and I really liked it. I will be playing as well as Outer Worlds 2 and Atomfall. Yes, I got the big one so I can play 3 days early…I am an idiot. Or very bored. Or very depressed. Or all of the above.
Is this the Skyrim Oblivion mod? Skyblivion? I’ve been waiting so many years for that (and also Skywind, the morrowwind remake) I will believe it when I see it If its delayed another two years I can wait I guess but June would be faaantastic.
They’re the most painful memory for me. Not sure how where or when, but at some point in my hundreds of hours of Oblivion, ayelid runs door mechanics stopped working. The floor panels that opened doors no longer worked. Across all Ayelid ruins.
So I was like, alright I GUESS I’ll go finish the main story now… Final quest had an Ayelid Ruin.
No problem, Knights of the nine is out and it sounds awesome. I’ll get that.
Get to the final stage of Knights of the nine… Ayelid Ruin XD
I think oblivion had a lot more hidden mechanics with how its world functioned, than skyrim did, even if they were buggy and didnt quite function as intended, skyrim always felt lacking in that regard. It certainly felt more static than Oblivion, but that could just be rose tinted memories too.
Same. A friend of mine in school had Morrow Wind but they lived far away so never got to see it in action, only got to hear about how amazing RPGs on PCs have become. X360 was the first console I bought with my own money working my first real grown up job and Oblivion is a big part of those memories.
