edit : latest 2nd patch of the day seem to fix it (maybe).
Anyone else getting minor stalls in rendering in 3xperimental? Like 1/2 second at a time at random intervals. Just gone back to normal and no stalls.
Something happened with this patch and all of my vegetation in the distance is sticks…this happens once in a while. It usually gets set straight later…
Hmm… I think I’ll paint and write for a week before I dive back in. Wait for the bug dust to settle a little more.
As I feared, the oil painting only likes the oils. And a couple of the colors have lost their water soluble emulsives, and are practically tar! I don’t think I can afford more oils, yet, so hopefully some linseed oil is the “solution.”

I recall that when the game launched, Sean said they had expected 14K players and were faced with 500K across PS and Windows. They were scrambling hard to even keep up with a then too-small helpdesk staff!
It’s nice to see this type of tech support of their game.
Fixed an issue that caused debug-only base parts to appear in the Catalogue.
Fixed a crash related to settlement NPC navigation.
While base building, the rotation option now has acceleration to allow faster turning while still retaining detailed control.
Fixed a rare issue that could cause severe visual glitches when pushing the building and photo mode cameras into very specific situations.
Fixed a number of snapping issues when placing fireplaces or NPC terminals to large rooms.
Fixed an experimental-branch only issue that could cause the decision interface to become blocked when starting a new construction opportunity decision.
I’m curious how a base could be offensive enough to require reporting…?
Apart from the juvenile act of building a suggestive shaped structure or in the shape of a swear word, what could a naughty traveller really create that anybody would really care about?
I believe reported bases are removed from the reporter’s game. So it’s useful for zapping away troll stuff, like buildings that block important structures.
What is memory trample?
And I am still having a sporadic drop in framerates. Like down to 7fps. It happens when returning to the settlement. Only it does not smooth out. It stays that way. I have to restart then all is fine.
