What has everyone done to prepare for 1.3?

Well, there’s an ancient version of the song you can listen to here: - YouTube

I can’t make out the lyrics because they’re in some archaic language, but the melody hasn’t changed!

I was 14 when Beatlemania burned like wildfires through the hearts and minds of my generation. I was a rebel even then, at first preferring the Dave Clark Five. Later when their music matured, I found I really like them.
Sorry I didn’t make the connection. I couldn’t compete with those guys for music, but you certainly could for lyrics,

And now on with the search for Rigogen. (though pretty soon I may try out that mod that @Virakotxa posted.

My first base was on a planet with oceans, very beautiful place and got a truck load of Rigogen from it.

Unfortunately the PF missions kept spawning in the ocean depths so I decided to move house to one with no water to finish them.

I’ll try and get the coords for you, it would make a lovely home as well as a good stock of Rigogen.

It is PS4 though I’m afraid.

(P.S. It’s exactly for things like this is where the update will shine! Can’t wait!)

omg where I am atm, there’s ONLY huge waterworlds! I discovered at least 4 on 2 differebt galaxies (named them Arpoja/LI5)

Well, platform divergence will not allow him to “bust your crops”, but the info on resources and galactic location are the same. Player-given names, also differ.

Oh no, what I meant was there’s a good stock of Rigogen to be found in the Oceans, not what I’ve personally accumulated.

Bring an Exocraft and away you go on your underwater adventure!

Apologies for any confusion.

Got it… Also there are no Rigogen farming plants on vanilla-NMS, and containers are not shared, I knew what you ment, but since you made the distinction of being on PS4, just wanted to clear out, that even on pc, that resource information is valid.

No worries, good to know that anything interesting I find can be used by my PC brethren and vice-versa.

I posted a screenie on the Recruitment page of where my current home base is. My old base with the Rigogen can’t be far from there, (I’m guessing further away from the centre) so at least you’ll have an idea of what area of the Galactic map I’m in.

This forum is going to get very busy with people posting resource drops, ships etc.

What’s your method for finding them?

Still waiting for patchnotes 1.3 and trying to find my first portal!

I just found a near perfect planet. Its not pretty, but its full of resources. I also noticed a dense population (structures so close you can see one from the other). There’s also alot of ruins here. There’s a portal somewhere, and I’m gona find it

The only thing i did is, like @Polyphemus did, to place a communication station near the portal i have not too far from my base in Hilbert.
This planet has water but ground is more like continents than islands, numerous plants and animals maybe too much for a quiet ride in vehicles :stuck_out_tongue: ), the weather is not so bad (humid with some storm) and the planets around have the ressources i don’t have. So before doing anything i prefer to see what it will be possible in 1.3

I have built a base, next to a portal. The base has changed considerably since I took these photos (Pathfinder added some great “observatory”-esque glass domes), but maybe one day some of you will stop by?

Portal Observatory

(I’m on PS4)

I’ve gone back to my base, I’ve located a portal on my planet and plan to head that way as soon as the update goes live.

I wonder if it would make sense to get couple of atlas stones… Just in case they are needed to fire up the portal

That’s about what I’m doing too.

It is an assumption, but a likely one… They could run on a different “fuel”, or not needing it at all… But that hole, and the fact those stones do nothing but cost a ton of cred. makes them perfect candidates.
(there is one thing you can do with 10, but what that does, and nothing, are close)

Yeah it sounds good, I still haven’t ever made it to the center so I’m slowly headed there while trying to get my hands on a big ship. I haven’t really played since vanilla, so I’m still learning a lot.

There are a few items that do not serve any additional purpose, so a few things could be used.
