Waking Titan is returning! / Investigation

If the answer to the 10th glyph is indeed some word mirrored, then it could be simply backwards or both forwards and backwards.

For example, if the word is ‘mirror’, it could be…
rorrim
or
mirrorrorrim

I would make sure to try both for any word you guess. Happy hunting, and welcome back all!

Edit
I suppose you could also try putting a vertical pipe in between the forward and backward version of the word (e.g. mirror|rorrim). I feel like this is less likely to be correct, though.

I tried a few of those but didn’t really get anywhere
I definitely think that’s on the right track though

Ok this is reaaally out there but it might trigger something.

So we know that the “whois” command gives us whatis1.5.

Now if we disregard that 1.5 relates to the 1.5 update and treat the answer as an actual question then the answer is a fracture - as in fracture number (not a whole number). If we spell “fraction” backwards as in “mirror” it then fraction becomes “noitcarf”, which (according to google) is a way to “simulate the activity that allows teachers or education students to gain an understanding of the feelings of students who are taught mathematics.”

Perhaps the tenth glyph has something to do with simulations?

I know, like I said: Waaaaay out there!

Please mr Murray tell me if I’m wrong so that I don’t lead us astray:)

This is just a bug on the site. Nothing to go mad over.
Has been doing that since the beginning.

I thought that, too. But I’m willing to bet it’s a little more clever than that, and to up the ante more, will be more obvious once the Atlas v4 Passes are received.

AND if that approach is in fact the answer, they’ll be changing it soon. lol. Like how they ROT13’d one of the answers because someone brute-forced it.

I like where your head is at!

I was reading a tweet from moth dad (Innes McKendrick ) and he’s doing a talk to students with regards to math in programming. Don’t know if this may be related

I doubt it. Maths in programming and the WT site have very few crossing lines. Innes is just a good lead programmer in the games industry. Alice & Smith are the ones who put the site together.

Hmmm, that does go hand in hand with the simulation/noitcarf theory i mentioned

1.5 is in decimal format not fraction. As a fraction it would 3/2

Oh, I see thx

Considering the new ‘whois’ command text, it may be important to note that the link on Glyph 10 is…

Compiling some key words/phrases/concepts that may be important to Glyph 10:

-Mirror
-Infinity Mirror
-Gail Benedict
-Atlas Pass
-10,000
-#whatis1.5 / whatis15

Like several people have posited, however, the next phase will likely not start until after the level 4 atlas passes have been distributed. It’s also likely that Glyph 10 will not be available to be solved until then as well (frustratingly enough).

Oh god, two more possible dates, Feb 3rd, March 2nd.

Just a random Idea. What if the 9 ‘00’ images represent letters we need to fill in the blanks for to make a phrase., i.e. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _mirror. Example: ‘Foucault’s mirror’ . Additionally, the 10th Glyph somewhat resembles a spinning mirror seen from above. Curiouser, and curiouser. Not a high probability of being anything, but interesting.

I really like this idea. However, keep in mind that 0A (10) and 0D (13) do not serve a purpose in the word ‘mirror’ spelled by the rest of the hex numbers (6D 69 72 72 6F 72). Therefore, they may also be used somehow in figuring out what else should go with mirror.

So SM juat tweeted again, this update has to be right around the corner. Every time he’s active on Twitter it’s usually means an update is close, he’s in the zone so to speak.

I don’t watch Blaxk Mirror, but what was that episode/series about?

Man I jiat wanna progress with this ARG. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just want to float my thoughts about the 10th glyph clue so someone can give me feedback.
A. why name 9 of the images with ‘00’ ?
1. because NULL represents a character with no associated value. In terms of ASCII coding it is a placeholder, unlike a simple blank which has a value, (Hex 40).
2. The auto-sequencing of the filenames on the Google page keeps the placeholders and the characters for ‘mirror’ separate, but grouped among themselves.

B. Why the ‘0D’ and ‘0A’ ?
1. A line feed(0A) often precedes a line of text on a screen or printer. A carriage return (0D) often is the last code of a line of text displayed on a screen or printer. This seems to imply that all the characters should be placed on the same line.

The 0D and 0A have been bugging for some days now. Combined they are basically the enter key on your Windows keyboard. In that regard, assuming the order of the images is important that actually equates to two separate lines.

It’s all up in the air right now. I think we need a new clue

I bet it’s not a coincidence that the symbol for Glyph 10 is a hexagon, and it’s having us convert hex numbers.

Edit It could also be viewed as a 3 dimensional object (cube).
