I’m hoping they do something different. An RPG from a scientist perspective, gather data from different systems, making new elements, artifact hunting, establishing colonies, etc. The worst thing they could do in my opinion is turn the game into Halo 6. Right now, I’m ripping through my “last” playthrough with Pathfinder “just in case”…

I haven’t traveled past the Euclid Galaxy yet, partly for that reason, but also because the Galactic Hub is here and I wouldn’t be able to come back. Hopefully the portals will resolved that problem like you said.
I have stayed in Euclid Galaxy in my normal play. Did permadeath and when straight for centre and got to new galaxy. So with this update not sure what one to use? I’m not far from galactic hub but not really in a hurry to get their. The idea of everyone collecting in one area (in the hope of multiplayer/human psyche - that they just don’t like being alone) is not what I want from NMS. Imagine if multiplayer did come in 2.0 it would turn into a war zone (Elite Dangerous!?!)

So list of things that need to be worked out, how the 16 part address symbols relate to the planet address. (Not to hard i think but will see)
Whether these things are 1 way? And you need the address of home to get back?
If past dicoveries have addresses that we can see so we can go back
Edit: also will tech break on the way through like a ship through black hole.
I wonder if we’ll need to start over again to experience the new story content if we’ve already completed the Atlas or Nada/Polo queslines.

For me it is in the morning. So at this point i dont think its gonna drop today. Even though it obviously should!!!
Pathfinder patch notes dropped 8th March. Game “trophy” was 19th March. Not sure if PC was same dates.
I didnt know if they were like Thursdays at noon or something
They may just hold off a few days while they ensure all is perfect and to let the hype die down a bit. It would cause chaos if everyone tried to download the update all at once. I’m super keen too but I’m ok to wait if it means a smooth download and transition to 1.3

One thing I’ve not seen much talk about on any site was during the waking titan, watching Twitch after the New York thing. It went on later in the day/night (timezone dependant) mentioning Emma then the adverts for all the linked sites. (During all the REMEMBER Sequences)
One of the sound bites was Emma taking I think about her dream… but the date 11th Aug 2017 was clearly mentioned, that I even noted it down. (I thought to myself at the time, no…it can’t be that soon)

Avatar customisation??
I’d say the appearance of the new race would be more likely right now than these being our avatars for Multiplayer, I still think we’re an update or two away from true multiplayer but hey, by all means, I welcome hello games to prove me wrong on behalf of the entire community

This is what I immediately thought of when I saw the name of the update. It’s certainly a good soundtrack for the background while you’re playing it.
Yeah, I’m right there with you (even mentioned that image in another post in this very thread), just waiting for those sweet patch notes for it to be 100% confirmed.
But I would hold the horses on the avatar theory, I don’t think there’s any concrect indication of that, right?
Multiplayer is very high on my wishlist for the game, but I think we’ll have to wait.
I totally agree! I keep going to middle click to free look as I’m so used to elite dangerous. A simple quality of life thing that’s mean so much

All I’ve wanted from this game is that. Data collection. Just done right ya know?
It’ll be cool to get a story to go with the game. Would like more “side job” diversity. You can mine and farm, but neither are that fun to me. I’d rather chase bounties or escort freighters. Not just the random “bounty detected” or “distress signal” whatever, but actual contracts. A little more customization would also be nice.
I’m really surprised ship customization isn’t in the game yet. I’m trying to be some scary dude in the galaxy and my Freighter garage looks like I buy my ships from the Auto Trader like Joe Dirt. And the freighter itself isn’t exactly fear inspiring due to it’s bright pink hue. While it was not my intention to have a pink freighter, it took way too long to find the large Star Destroyer looking one, so I had to take what I could get cough autotrader cough.
For sure. I’ve been keeping a bare bones ship for black holes so there’s nothing to break.
