I recollect it happening earlier in december for previous years so i actually thought it had been and gone.
Does anyone have any memories of taking part in the past or is there anything in particular youre looking forward to seeing from the schedule this year?
I always intend to, forget its happening, miss most of it then try catch what I can in a scramble on the last day.
Corvettes have the potential of making this year memorable and unique but also invites the possibility of someone arriving in a heavily modded 15000 piece corvette and crashing everyones game

If people want to forrm a group, I can arrange to attend one or more of these. I did a couple of the early ones - in those days, it was a real novelty to actually meet other players.
I find that much beyond “Hello” and “Nice ship / multitool” I rapidly run out of things for my avatar to say to people I don’t know - and the idea of races / competitions or gift swapping holds no appeal. I am, however, willing to turn up and wave the flag for an hour or two.
I’m not sure how the logistics of this work nowadays. The game imposes a limit on how many players can join an instance - so if we all teleport / portal in to a location, there’s a high probability we won’t end up in the same instance as each otherr. And if one of us goes to the location, and others of us join their game, then players who are not part of our game won’t be able to see us.
Just turn up and wing it, I suppose. “Hello, Nice multitool…”
(edit) Then there’s @sheralmyst , who plays in experimental - and therefore won’t be able to see anyone at all.

We could set up a private messaging group here, to share our NMS friend codes, it might increase the likelihood of us getting lumped into the same shard when visiting the systems.
Or if it just ends up being the four of us, perfect size for being in the same group/fireteam.
Yeah, I’ve heard complaints about multiplayer not working (steam and epic, many different PC games), too. We will have to see. The feature that we need to work is the matchmaking, right?

I also need to buy myself a month of ps plus cos it just ran out. I only ever use it really for nms during expeditions, which still works out cheaper than buying a years worth

I remembered the dates wrong, doesn’t start until tomorrow. Gonna build a base next to a portal in preparation as ive yet to do that in my permadeath run.
