I am adding the full list of events here. It is a nice summary. Do not look ahead if you do not want to know what happens next.

More QS than usual. It’s a portal-travel story quest.
Tips:
(don’t look if you dont want tips to speed things up).
if you have Living Pearls in storage, take 12 with you. If you are tricky you can land on the exposed wreck’s nose ring
You’ll notice if you have multiple saves, there is some variation in the dialog.

I appreciate any excuse to break out the nautilon, so this was nice. Had expected a bit more meat, though. This narrative looks like it’s going to be a reeeeeally slow burner…

I like what HG stated about these story-based missions;
“Nada’s spacetime loom has detected a concerning pattern resonating across the universe, and they need help from their explorer friends to investigate,” teases Hello Games, “Readings indicate a disturbance in reality, where an anomalous - and possibly sinister - force has begun to leak through to this universe…”
Looks like we might be getting the ‘bad guy’ so many have wanted.

I enjoyed this one. My first actual community quest (though I did it solo because… reasons…) 
Tip:
Game glitched out a number of times, three times while trying to do the QS daily, then twice more while doing the Community weekend quest. But finally it let me finish.
I was scared it would glitch out near the end after all that work collecting. I think I used up about thirty of the large life supports. 
1200 QS is a nice reward.
I noticed that when I took the quest it said the reward was 4x launch fuel, but at the end of the mission I received a Salvaged Freighter Module (not complaining). 
Yep. That was my thought too.

Glad you can do it solo. I just updated with an experimental branch patch and I am all alone on the NEXUS…

Yes. It states that clearly in the mission text. It also states clearly that the whole thing must be completed in one go. Took me four hours total. lol

Well, I made it through and found several others on the planet I was sent to. One guy was killed by another player and lost all his items he was gathering for the mission so I gave him mine. Then I had to regather what I needed.
Intriguing little story we have here. Not much info given away though.

So I’m not clearing final fantasy IX for the umpteenth time this weekend as planned, am I? Glad to hear the story based community missions are back 
last time Polo found us new friends, bout time he got us some enemies, so we can bond with our new friends over our shared hatred and/or insurmountable fear.

Not sure if this is related to the event, but is there anything new in the Nexus? First off, there are two NPCs I can now interact with and get nanites from if i give them something.
Second: One of the landing pads has something I dont remember seeing.
