So, the āCommunity Eventsā are now just normal missions that you get quicksilver for. No common quest, no common location, no short story or at least a few words from Polo, just normal missions. I guess youāll have to fill up those tiers mostly without me, then, as apparently Iām not missing anything by not doing them.
I did have a nice time though, being tasked with delivering 8 quad servos, which in my densnes I completely failed to realise what they were. Thought they were some trade goods, so I took the mission, then realised that those goods needed a bit different equipment to acquire than what I currently specialise inā¦
I joined a mission but left because I thought I joined the wrong mission, they went off with someone else and I initiated a mission and someone joined. We left together and ended up in the same place as the two who left earlier doing the same mission but separately it was kind of fun, there were two others there also bringing it to six travellers scurrying around a stormy planet looking for Dino bones.
I wonder if weāll see a return to events like last season? Maybe thatās what this mystery missions will be?
I noticed recently that I cant build comm balls anymore, are they gone? No more mass comm ball graves?
Commballs were replaced by the other thing as far as I know, not sure what theyāre called anymore, never used themā¦
Itās possible that people in the same shard get the same mission. In fact that would seem recommendable in terms of consistency, otherwise theyād all see different missions on the board.
In any case, playing survival on GoG, thereās not much teamwork going on, for lack of teams
One lone soul was in the nexus too at the time, but left before I had done my other stuff. Not that Iād have been terribly excited about joining up anyways.
The mission I had led me to a system practically neighbouring the system I am currently at, so I donāt expect anybody to get the same location. Which is a bit of a shame, because coming to a place and finding all the messages was kind of fun, and you could be certain somebody built a nice base to look at somewhere, even if GoG players never had any actual multiplayer during the community events.
And instead of the 24-slot alien multitool advertised by SheralMyst, I found this at my space station:
Makes me wonder why āprogressā is platform specific. I can imagine some platform specific calculation, but why not just base it on all platforms combined, so you have a feeling everyone actually works on the same goal to unlock the new goodies at the same time?
I get that, I just meant the portable place anywhere you want functionality seems to be dunzo. The weird part is communication balls still show up for me in my legacy save in portable tech when Iām at my base hence my major confusion
You donāt want to know, that thing has less slots than the starting multitool!
Also, I donāt know the address. Iām not a portal guy. Never looked for a portal in my life, only ever used one in context of a story.
I did my first mission last night and recognised the player @LordMarkov jumped into my game (Purest_green). I was building a base and we fought off tons of sentinals and walkers before I had to go!
I recognized Purest_Green, but I couldnāt remember where from.
Thank you for the fun timeā¦we made quite the walker graveyard. However, the mission was glitched for me; I couldnāt add to the base. I do hope you enjoyed the NipNip (with Faecium in case you wanted to plant them.)
I waited until you left and then built my own outpost to complete the mission.
I reloaded my last save while on a Community Event. Reappeared in my old parking spot the Nexus. My QS event was gone and the QS one from yesterday was available again.
