The Swarm Expedition 22

Yep. My excuse too.
I wish the ‘take points’ component wasn’t a thing. I didn’t even notice the negative component for a couple of days until somebody mentioned it.

If figure, I’ll fight the swarm & would do the same, whatever colour I was wearing so to me the points thing isnt an important factor.

If youre doing all 3 missions, you aren’t hurting the other teams.

Purge gives 3 points to your team
Support gives all teams 2 points
Sabotage removes 1 point from your opposing teams.

Each player completing all 3 is netting +5 for their team and +1 for the other teams

Yes. But if they skipped the mission that takes points, & only did the + missions then it would be ‘nicer’ for everyone. Still competitive but less so.

Less competitive, and harder for 3rd place to claw back to 1st. Sage and Royal have less team members currently, if we even want to try usurping the Weavers, we have to play all 3 missions.

I get tons of folks who play this game dont like anything PvP related, but theres certainly nothing toxic or mean about the sabotage mission, or wanting to win the prismatic core either.

My only objection to ‘winning’ the Prismatic Core is that I’d really prefer the green Sage colour.
From that perspective, I can only say ‘Go Sage’ and betray my assigned colour by not competing or just continue on with my Royal loyalty but quietly hope Sage surges to the front & legitimately wins so we get a cool green coloured prismatic Core.
I’m so conflicted

If Sage wins, all Sage supporters will be immortalized here on the forum.

Why was this the post I had to run out of hearts on?

I’ll be back in *checks the thingy * 45 minutes! With hearts for you, and hearts for all

Go WeSaRo’s!

YEAH WE DO! Ahem, I mean, go everyone else! woooo :eyes:

Do all of the missions contribute to the Core?

Also I was handing out hearts and got a 500 ERROR…

Purge and Support are the only two missions actively contributing to the core.

Sabotage detracts from your opponents and doesnt contribute to your team’s core progress by itself.

Everyone is roughly on 1,200,000 team score now.

On average, each team has done about 124,000 - 130,000 sabotage missions.

Overalll around 380,000 sabotage missions have been done, which is 760,000 negative points, spread out across three teams.

So just using these rounded and rough estimations (I’m too tired to do precise math :P)

Each team could potentially be on 1,400,000 team score there or abouts…

It’s not really that big of a difference when you look at it. The sabotage missions aren’t really hurting our progression all that much.

The patch notes talked about teams coordinating on what missions to do, and I think that’s where this sense of choice comes into play.

Groups of players can decide, “hey, we should not give any other points to other teams, and only give minus points, so we can go up a place on the leaderboard.”. Others can decide, “Hey, we should give no negative points, to anyone, that’s who we are as a group or a civ” , and so on.

Those groups or civs, big and small, might even be fragmented across the colour spectrum. In the end, I think it will be hard for any one “team” to coordinate an effort to take charge and outrun the others.

Unless someone starts a massive “every sage player make 30 expedition saves so we can push the numbers up!” kind of thing.

Right. One friend is Sage with me so we are min-maxxing for Sage score by doing all 3. My other friend is on Xbox so just starting today, if they end up Weaver or Royal, it wouldnt be as cut and dry for us.

Sage numbers have certainly grown today, they’re only 80 players behind Royals player count now. GOOOOO SAGE! When I checked earlier they were 160 players behind Royals count.

There was an increase of 10,000 players since I did the figures check earlier today and an uptick in 2% of the total goal. We’re on 15.1% completion now

Must be the Xbox players. Or maybe the ARG is pulling people back into the game…

Is there a timer for the next missions anywhere outside the game? It seems to be a universal timer and should be the same for all

I like to jump in and work the missions at about 1 hour. That way I can do a little exploring then run the missions again

Not that i’ve seen outside of the game but it’s every 8 hours, so 3 a day at most if you sync it up with your sleep cycle :stuck_out_tongue:

Mine happen at 9 am, 5pm and 1am

Gonna use the fancy time thing to post my times for when it resets so it should display correct for everyone dependant on location. The 1am one just activated, so going to start this list at the 9am one for my area. Think I’m doing this right

2026-06-04T08:00:00Z
2026-06-04T16:00:00Z
2026-06-05T00:00:00Z

Let me know if these match the times when it resets for you.

Yes. The time matches. However it is Tuesday the 2nd here…you live further in the future than I realized @toddumptious . 2 days ahead of me …

I’m such an idiot I didn’t even realise what I’d done. I set the auto selected date a day forward forgetting that it was already a day forward because it had passed midnight.

I was just trying to get it to display the time only, originally , but I couldn’t figure out how to do that, I picked the “repeat daily” option thinking that would help :person_shrugging:

Quick question. I’m a sage and I’m at the point where I’m doing missions at the anomaly. You always have 3 mission choices. One of the missions will always be -1 from Royal score and -1 from Weaver score. Is there a reason I would want to do this?
