Singularity Expedition 10

Has anyone else run into the problem of not being able to use the refiners in other player bases (not ours)? When you try it says object is in use. Both @Malveka and I are having this problem.

Feature? or bug?

Edited to clarify was talking about other player bases.

Do you mean a refiner in your own base, or in someone else’s?

I got the plans from the anomaly, and built a two-pot refiner in my base to make more faecium and gamma weed - and it worked fine.

Not directly related to the mission, but I went to the expedition rewards and did not take any egg. I placed a pet on the ground (the tiniest gibb blob I had) and that highlighted the egg sequencer. I went there and there was a robot egg in it and the fourth slot contained 9999 Atlantidium! I put in some random stuff in the other slots and I got four eggs and 9999 more atlantidium out of that. :-o I didn’t see anyone giving me these things. Is the sequencer bugged?

I use the one in my backpack

Great for things like chromatic metal and ionised cobalt. No good for faecium and gamma root - needs two inputs.

I’m using the portable refiner constantly, but it is so blasted slow. And burns through the carbon. I have twenty stacks of runaway mould to grind. :joy:

And you look like you are on fire :fire: :fire_engine:
There has been a portable refiner issue in MP for a long time. I have had mine vanish, contents vanish, it read in use…so I either build a small base or use the backpack

Purple has been added to many lights in the game. Fire now contains purple flames, both on hot planets and in the fireplace base part

I wonder if we’ll get music stings for the new ARG like with waking titan XD

15% in an hour and a half. If the rate keeps up we might have our new robo bods in 8 hours :open_mouth:

I have no idea if this has always been the case, but a redditor says that the Atlas (at an Atlas station) ā€œbeatsā€ once every 16 seconds.

I have to say, I’m quite impressed by their performance optimisations.

I usually couldn’t really do on-foot combat, because with enemies around and special effects flying any which way gameplay became so jerky that I couldn’t really aim, even at already reduced resolution and detail. The scatter blaster was the only thing that gave me a fighting chance, but it was hard to hit even with that.
Yesterday I did the one ground-combat related mission this expedition seems to force on you (kill 19 corrupted sentinels), and while ā€œbutter-smoothā€ isn’t the word I’d use to describe the experience, it was fluid enough that I could reliably aim that overpowered neutron cannon that the expedition rewards hand you, and could clean off the entire 5 waves.
That neutron cannon has some nasty recoil… reaiming that thing after a shot would have been absolutely impossible before this update.

Also, note to future self: Don’t fight corrupted sentinels in places with grass if it can be avoided. Those nasty little walkers will come at you out of nowhere…

Saw that too and thought, damn thats just the coolest little attention to detail I’ve heard in a long time.

@jedidia Glad to hear you’re having a smoother less laggy time with ground combat. I used to avoid it too but now I really enjoy it cos my neutron cannon is even stronger now with the patch and it just, evaporates my foes. And its spread is insane. Have you seen how far it travels too? I missed a shot, it went towards the clouds, i re-aimed, took out two sentinels behind me, then turned back around and my missed shot was STILL travelling towards the sky before finally imploding.

I was using the neutron cannon quite a bit in my main save, its rapid fire mode was kinda useless then, the patch has made that mode also viable.

Now I just need to figure out how to switch to my battle rifle quick enough so I can headshot those elites after my plasma pistol charge takes their shield down… …

Post - milestone complete edit:
ā€œYou have learned the Korvax word for Helpā€

Well that was a fitting word XD

The expediton milestone complete splash screen popped up before it told me what the other 15 words I got were.

What word popped up on your end? (@DevilinPixy has mentioned its just random 16 explorer words so no message to actually piece together afaik)

Introducing… Expedition Atlantodd

Main save Atlantodd is ready to do the dishes.

Interesting observation:

As a result of @toddumptious advice that the last choice of convergence you make is the one that matters, I’m doing a third run to make sure I choose Atlantid.

On my third run through, I find that the optional goal of salvaging the sentinel ship on Ahei XV no longer exists. It’s not in my log.
