Forgive my ignorance, but what is this multiplay you speak of, and how can I get some?
HG called it Joint Exploration where you can have 16 players in same system. Just leave comms ball at points of interest or stand there and tell players to go to your spot and pick up glyph. We found 3 glyphs in 30 mins, and spent another 30mins looking but the 4th race travellers started directing us back to graves we had already robbed.
That is awesome!
I did happen to leave a comm ball right next to the grave I found. (It says “Aloha, Traveler.”)
I can share the address and some pics later (just need to do the USB shuffle from the PS4).
How were you coordinating / communicating with the other players? Was there a discord chat, or was this all handled in game?
I have never seen another player, or their constructs, in all my travels, so this is new to me.
You can voice chat when you are in same system, but party chat is sometimes better quality. You can see the other players green icons at all times on your HUD.
I wonder if pc has voice chat, too… Not even near of having enough glyphs to start making visits, myself.
1 glyph can let you portal travel
Indeed it can. As can random glyph combinations. If the portal doesn’t know the address you’ve given it, it will approximate the best match.
I’m currently having a lot of trouble entering correct glyph combinations, but it’s dead easy to enter incorrect ones. I’ve done a lot of random travel lately.
You can travel, yes. But you don’t know where you’re going to end up.
yeah, the 12 birds planet is very popular though
That can’t be random… I suspect handcrafted combinations hiding, there.
Maybe the combination of glyphes seen in waking titan arg??? This can’t be random!
The sequence in which we were introduced to the glyphs through their activation order at WT… There could be gold hiding there!
Sorry for delay @Xion4012. Yes just randomly found (not directed by traveller), it showed up exactly as a knowledge stone would. I have since found another 2 the same way… Its a ballache but I’m determined to get them all legit. I have finally left said planet but it was a scorched desert type world.
Have 3 glyphs so far. Passed up several Travelers on stations and posts, unaware they could locate glyph grave sites! Now paying closer attention at I journey across NMS.
The Travelers are pretty rare. Best too stock up on nanite clusters along the way and be prepared.
Such a wonderful experience, NMS!
I just gained all 16 glyphs today after finding my first traveller grave. I used the “repeat” method. Extract the glyph, fly up to the space station open the network terminal and fly back and extract another. It started with glyph 2, then carried onto 16. On the 16th attempt I got nanites instead of the 1st glyph that it missed, however on the 17th attempt it gave me the first one. So I now have all 16. I put a comm station down, next to the grave, so that anyone that flies into the system should be able to find it by a scan. The system coordinates are:
YIBIU:0E31:007D:077D:00D8
I hope this helps anyone struggling to find them.
I highly recommend that. I found 2 glyphs then jumped to the next system. I have now been to at least 10 systems and cannot find another Traveler.
ive played every day since 1.3 dropped … warped to over 70 systems and havent seen a single traveler… ive done all the story, all the side quests but cant find a traveler
Hello StarKnight,
Are you on PS4? I hope so. Is it particularly difficult to use the galactic hub mapping method to get to you? Any tips?
Yes I am on ps4, and it shouldn’t be too bad to get to me using the pilgrim star path app, but it all depends on where you are starting off from. Hope that helps.
Using the app is kind of crazy, depending on your path from the center and black hole randomness. Can you share your galaxy and region? I’m close to you (108 jumps). Maybe I can find a way to navigate to you.

Ha!, you’re idea of close and my idea of close are totally different.
