Thanks! I setup a signal booster on my home planet (decaying radioactive but wow such a beautiful planet) grabbed the coordinates and put them into the Hub site. I’m about 500+ jumps to the Galactic Hub… such a long way but will make the journey!

I found the “Black Hole Roulette” is really a good option when you’re that far away

awesome!! we have another interloper. my journey was about 350 jumps after i grinded out getting the theta warp drive blueprint (10 zoology planets). the Hub aspect of this game really makes it shine; finding things that others can then find just adds a new element and sense of community to it. plus, i felt like space traveler from sci-fi movies on my trip to the Hub. warping for 10 jumps and then stopping on a barren planet to find resources needed to make more warp fuel but at the same time finding new ships and multitools and the best part; seeing amazing views. this game is such an amazing wallpaper machine.

I restarted my save after foundation came out, so I could leave Hilbert and travel to the HUB. However I hit that bug where they wouldn’t give me the final hyperdrive upgrade as a quest reward so it took me nearly 3-4 months of on-off sessions to make it to the hub. I spent about a month flaoting around it looking at things, then said goodbye and started my PermaDeth save.
I haven’t booted up my casual save since then, but can’t wait to get permadeth completed so I can dive back into casual.
Also finally picked up a copy on PC, LOOOVING some of the mods, the constructs one is just super tasty! Gonna start using that starmap companion app thingy that tracks your uploads etc soon so I can warp to the PCs edition of the galactic hub (and then visit all the other community hubs that have popped up since that initial effort, maybe go see Pilgrim Star finally :D)

I’m on PS4 and my ship sucks and I can’t figure out how to get half the stuff my guys in my base keep asking for, so I’m pretty useless. 
Anyway every planet around me is already discovered by some guy, since I’m on that Atlas path, so maybe just ask him what was there, haha.

I realise now I totally forgot to mention, I got my goods from Polo eventually when I was about 13 leaps from the Hub! It was a loooong winter either way waiting for that fix, getting it, and then not realising there was a fix for about another month haha. Better late than never!

I would add i’m a seasoned NMS veteran, day-1 adopter, fully upgraded warp drive and a knack for black hole roulette. Was one of the first 40 people to reach the Galactic Hub. I can navigate this stuff.

I am on PC and would really like to help this way. I recently wiped my old safe, started a new game and abandoned the atlas path from the whole beginning, because i think that may become important. Over the next week i will see to get a fast, long range capable ship and my atlas passes.

OMFG YOUR NAME! YES! NMS since day one, for me, has been the game I’ve always dreamt of, and reading C&H as a child I always drew parallels with spaceman spiff and my desire to blast of this rock and into the cosmos 
Sorry if we’ve had this convo here or on reddit or somewhere already, I literally get super excited when I see someone else has made the connection! I have an atlas tattoo and I plan to get a spaceman spiff tattoo next to it somewhere for my sci fi sleeve

I think I forgot to mention that I and almost all of the Spacing Guild are on PS4. So we may not be much use since the only dead drop in No Man’s Sky was only on PC.
