Community Newbie checking in!

Hey all!

So I’ve been playing NMS almost since launch, absolutely love the game and super psyched on the new update. I’ve been quite out of the loop with the ARG, I got really psyched about the cassette tapes and then work got super busy, went on holiday, yada yada yada… I ended up quite out of the loop, although the whole thing looks like it was awesome, and so much love was shown to the community by HG.

Based on the post on the NMS website, it looks like this community will continue, and I’d love to be a part of it more, can anyone bring me up to speed quickly on what’s going on and how I can get involved?

Many thanks in advance!

I’d suggest to check out the Game Detectives - Waking Titan Wiki to get you up to speed with all that transpired during this ARG. Waking Titan has now more or less ended and this forum is planned to turn into the Citizen Science Division forum as an ‘official’ part of No Man’s Sky , I believe.

The search feature at the top right may be useful. Welcome on board, and do not hesitate to ask questions or chime in.

Hello @crb06, and welcome to (the forum soon to be formerly known as) ETARC! It’s nice to see so many new faces making their way here.

I think the biggest project we’ve got going on right now is @SlowRiot4NuZero’s CSD hub initiative. Long story short, it looks like we’re going to try and establish our own galactic hub sometime after the update. It’s still in the planning stages but you can get up to speed and get involved in the discussion here:

https://forums.etarc.org/t/currently-recruiting-a-hub-inside-the-mercury-subroutine-for-etarc/1985?u=branflacks

You’ve caught us in a bit of a transition period , but I encourage you to look around and join the conversation (or even start your own). Even with Waking Titan’s conclusion there is still much to discuss!

It might also be a good idea to sign up for the CSD mailing list. This is by no means required, but if our [former?] puppet masters decide to communicate again you’ll get the same info we do.

Howdy, new to the forum as well.
Bought myself a PS4 mostly just to play NMS.
Glad I did, game rarely leaves the disc drive.
