First four are “VOID”, the other three are “OTH”.

Keep em’ coming, might be interesting.

There is definitely something missing in my Steam Deck game. I panned 100s of systems on the Galactic Map. I do not have the economy scanner but I would not think that would matter. I have completed the major quests but not the secondary ones…no dissonant systems anywhere.

Ah, I see on Steam and Reddit that the dataminers have already ruined it. Shame.

Dataminers should be hung up by their toes until their eyeballs fall out.

You don’t want it spoiled, you shouldn’t look for it
Anyways, 10 and 11 are very much what I expected.

as much as i hate wanton spoilers, the game is playable and the mystery readily solvable by anyone willing to put in a few hours. if the update wasnt out, then i’d have a problem.

The sentinel ship is hilarious

I finally got a ship after several failed attempts to raise my alert level to 5(the sentinels kept losing sight of me even though I was in the same spot)

Spoiler(I guess not actually?):

I decided to take my new abomination(mine looks like an angry garbage truck), and tried the “stop in place” thing. Its pretty cool . and then I accidentally shot a sentinel on the ground and so sentinel ships came to attack me. Since this dump truck is slow and weak, I decided to land and swap ships to fight the sentinel ships attacking me…

The land button gets disabled and the stop/slowdown button turns into “Terminator mode: autopilot and auto-lock onto enemy target, destroy, destroy, destroy…” mode. :joy: I was so confused why my ship was taking over the controls. :joy: I guess the AI takes over?

Update: my main ship does it too? guess i havent done ship combat in awhile. Is this normal then?

Update again: its normal, im just a dummy that never noticed it till now. its been around for a while now and I never noticed it. Going to turn it off. Its weird.

I took a different approach to finding the mission (tired of hanging out at the Nexus).

Happened to be passing over a manufacturing facility and saw a sentinel. Decided to force the issue so I shot it. Got the inbound sentinel ship message and headed out to space. My squadron showed up and we had an easy time eliminating the sentinel ships that showed up. Didn’t seem that many. After a few rounds the sentinel freighter showed up. It used to be that you needed to destroy all the gun turrets but I just continued to rake one side with my photo canon and watched as the energy bar for the sentinel freighter dropped to nothing. After that got a message that a location had been sent to me. Brought up the galaxy map and a neighboring system was marked. Went there and scanned for the corrupted sentinel planet. Found it.

i was just vibing, completely unaware there was an update, looking for glitched planets to complete my glitch collection, and noticed a “corrupted sentinel” planet. i nearly warped away until i remembered that it’s supposed to say “aggressive.” then i googled the uses of certain items so i knew which ones i could safely purge from my inventory (getting full) when i noticed the only relevant links were posted less than a day ago. im nowhere near done with the update but i have to finish up my work first before i go back.

Our dataminers are well-behaved. (And I personally love spoilers) They posted it in the datamining spoiler thread.
I read it before I realized it was coming from the new update so as I encountered it in-game I was not totally spoiled. In fact, I had already named the new arachnid sentinel Swarm Mother so I was really close but, the question now is, what exactly is this new name refrencing? Is it the arachnid sentinel? Has me excited for more updates! Lore enrichment is what I have been waiting for.

I’ve seen the phrase “Void Mother” mentioned.

Void Mother…is the Abyss / Korvax Prime, this update has lots of mentions of glass/boundary etc, ven direct mentions of Korvax Prime Moons…along with the reference from space station, humanoid robots…lots of hints of future stuff

Something must be up. My save is from the Polestar expedition. I’ve not done the MSQ or any side quests. I also do not have any scanners on any ship or freighter and I’m able to find those systems. They are actually quite numerous for me. I’ve have found 3 so far in the same region of space in Euclid.

I’ve seen this. A Korvax memorial on a corrupted planet mentioned Korvax Prime had 4 great entities that converged with something when the Atlas was dreaming. I’ll find the memorial again and get the text.

My theory is that this corruption in the real villain. Whatever it is, it’s causing the damage to the hardware/software running the simulations. The Atlas could see this and calculated that at the rate of spread it would consume everything in 16 real world minutes, thus 16|16|16|16. I also think that the corruption has affected the Atlas, since it shares resources with and exists on the hardware/software running the simulations. I keep seeing references to the Atlas dreaming. I get the feeling that the Atlas has been subdued by the corruption. Whatever fail-safes it had to hold it back is gone. We are alone to face Her.

The void Mother / Abyss was an AI similar to Atlas, thought destroyed and has been exerting more and more influence on the universe.

Has anyone worked out where the echo locators are coming from? Sometimes I kill sentinels and one appears, sometimes I search scrap and I get one - I think there may be other instances, too. Is it just random actions on corrupted worlds that get them, or are there specific actions they are linked to?

I now have three sentinel ships, and two echo locators. I don’t think I’ve managed to get more than two - but then I’m not sure where they’re coming from…
