I restarted a new save. On my second planet I found a nice spot to start a base. A ringed planet even. I played for 4-5 hours. The tutorial is helpful. Yesterday I noticed while placing my base portal that you can start a quest line that helps you with the gathering of resources for said portal. That is a nice touch.

Thank you for all the improvements. My current main base planet had a scalding hot shower every 5mins which reduced visibility to almost zero and came with the serious heat damage when outside. After 1.55 … so much better and hardly any of these severe storms.
Base missions now progressing far more smoothly
And although i cannot pinpoint exactly the overall gameplay experience just feels much better.
