My connection speed increased all of a sudden, and some of my files are showing up with someone else’s name. how do I fix this?
Stay calm. Our technical support team is likely already working on restoring access to your personal unit. This can sometimes happen during solar events, and will not grant you unauthorized access to the files that have appeared in your storage. The errant materials should disappear within 30 minutes.
(My italics.) There’s going to be a solar eclipse visible from the US this summer… so perhaps something is timed to be released during that. We should keep an eye on… whatever, in case mysterious files appear in it.

I was also thinking that with the mention of solar shields and solar events, something related to the sun (besides the sun rising and setting) had to happen on a certain date. Could not pin down what it was though, and what you say seems to make sense
Although, it explicitely says that having access to those files will not be possible, BUT we might find something interesting in their names.
Also, I did a bit of research and the next Solar Eclipse will take place in august 21, 2017. IDK if the ARG will be running for that long, but it could definitely be possible. As you said, we should keep an eye on the Myriad-70 website, just in case.

If my software had a huge security flaw where other people’s files appeared in your drive, I’d say the same thing. “Haha, well it LOOKS like you have access to these top secret files, but you don’t, so don’t try to open them, because you definitely can’t, haha. Don’t believe us? Well… don’t put it to the test, because it definitely won’t work, haha.”

Funny… though I didn’t try @myriad-70.com I have been doing @atlas-65.com and did not get a bounce back… when I tried Matins@atlas-65.com I did get a bounce back instantly… so there is that.
I agree. I’ve been seeing suggestions that the WT Hexagon is actually a cube “in disguise.” If that is true, and there are 6 more pieces of the “hex” to open after we finish the first 6, this whole thing could easily go until the 21st of August.

The first time I entered on the Waking Tiran website, I saw a cube instead of the Hexagon. In fact, this makes sense in a huge way if we consider that all of the WT ARG is giving out info and data about universe cartography and simulations. It might be a representation of the universe we Travellers are inside of, because a cube defines a tridimensional space where we can pin an exact location.
If we also add all the info WT gave us about different dimensions and time-bending concepts to the mix, it might also be an Hypercube (or Tesseract). It is a long shot, but also a very interesting concept to think about.
That certainly seems to look more and more like a galaxy! I’m not crazy good with maths like some of the people here, but maybe this is the initial “seed” that HG built on to create NMS. WT starting as a simple seed grows into the galaxies eventually? That kinda fits with everything we are learning, lore-wise.
Solar eclipses don’t mean that there’s higher solar activity, though. Satellites won’t be in danger the way they are when a coronal event occurs. However, though we are seeing a decrease in solar events due to the Sun’s cycle moving towards a “minimum” state, this also means that more cosmic rays are hitting the Earth due to less protection from the Sun’s weaker solar wind.
I do think this site isn’t “complete” as far as the puzzles are concerned. The underlined “diagnosing” makes me think this is a temporary state, and something we need to pay attention to. I tried looking in the source code of the page for clues, but didn’t see anything. Maybe this is a timed event and not something we can unlock. Though I do think a big clue must be hidden in the glitched image.
