Today, let’s celebrate No Face (we all have one following us around)
When my stomach grumbles I always say to myself, “Quiet, No Face.”
Rockin out in Iceland with Dropkick Murphy’s current Bass player appearing for some guest VOX in studio ;-;
Me : Jordan looks… Different…
Also me : Totally missed the news that Jordan left the band over a year ago
NGL, what he brought to the band will be sorely missed.
Lisa has no eyebrows…
Paul Wolinski just released riptide stutter [ei_260922 → ar270126] by Polinski,
*“Back in late September 2022 I recorded 20 minutes of an odd procedural piano system as it ground out endless variations of minor key melancholia, added it to a pile of forgotten projects scattered across various hard drives, and never looked back.
This morning I stumbled across it again. For whatever reason I thought it might be nice to re-record it through the nice little chain of digital stutters and analog circuitry I currently have set up here in Studio Komoy.
Accidentally lost an hour or so riding the weird waves of these patterns, giving it a sense of intention, and have ended up with twenty minutes of uncalm, off-kilter, not-quite-repetition, and I’m calling it done.
So here you go. It’s called riptide stutter [ei_260922 → ar270126].”*
This is really nice, I was trying to place the entire time what it reminded me of and I was thinking maaaaybe Thom Yorkes work for the Suspiria OST. Three songs into that it clicked. It was another Thom Yorke project altogether
I didnt know this had a video, or I forgot, always nice to see “sillyan” murphy as is so often mispronounced XD
It also reminds me of THIS key change at 16 secs in
I hope Paul Woll suprises us with more tracks to fill the gap between now and Journeys Vinyl release <3
The Laced Records site still lists it as an estimated Feb shipping date but one of our local record stores is listing it now for a January 30th release ;-;
Right and straight to the soul. Has me thinking of time spent exploring the world of Transistor and Darren Korbs OST
my favorite music is definitely from the 2000-2015
this era of music is just too good
Not sure if intended to jump about half way into the video; you may wish to remove the timestamp parameter from the url ![]()
Ok. It was stuck in my head. Thanks @toddumptious
Back in the early early internet days there was footage of this guy going around, would have been the first youtuber if he hadn’t existed and disappeared before it came into being.
There was a segment of him bouncing around to this song off of mattresses lining his room, and I would just play that segment on repeat.
I wanna say this was around 1999/2000 and the name was freddy fox or something.
I cant speak for the rest of the videos content but I would imagine NONE of it has aged well. If I could just find the safety dance bit I’d be happy, but I kinda also just want it to live misremembered in my brain.

Just want to pass this along. My son is deaf in one ear. He bought a set of these and he can hear in that ear when using them.
