Music Tastes among ETARCers?

Well this brother is cool but I have another one and he’s an asshole too. I’m afraid 2 would be too much.

That’s completely understandable.

It’s still music adjacent I’m sure it’s fine. The brother swap talk probably wasn’t.

Well my cool brother does want a change of scenery. Perhaps we could make a trip. You could borrow him for a few days

My go to band back in the day, right on time

Id heard of alter bridge, but i did not know they were an offshoot from Creed.

I was a pearl jam fan, so I wasnt allowed to publicly acknowledge creed, even though With Arms Wide Open was a tune and introduced the world to Titan A.E in that trailer that is seered into my formative mind.

The debate was officially put to rest eventually too…

I have the movie on DvD, love it, and love the soundtrack choices they made, but that one doesn’t ring a bell… :person_shrugging:

Also, any of those bands mentioned were obviously commercial sellouts and absolutely taboo in my circles. No sir, we were trve kvlt!!

Oh thats cos im an idiot and i was thinking of Take me Higher

I think am old acquaintances band might be true kvlt

If not their new band, then their older band red enemy surely were.

True underground heroes.

There used to be a few more red enemy music videos with better production but theyve all disappeared

We’d probably have judged that they’re not serious enough and sing too much

Yeah, I don’t think anybody had a problem with that.

People have been saying that about the Irish for centuries

Pre-Ordered this album a year and a half ago, not sure what the delay in production was (diggers is a vinyl company that acts more like a patreon, hits a goal then they go into production.)

This hit its goal on the day it went up in 2024 :man_shrugging:

Either way its here!

Safe and sound with the others

OMFG I don’t know who these are but I need them to visit Ireland IMMEDIATELY!

Thanks youtube, this is an absolute gift.

I’d certainly enjoy that. They were apparently in my home town last October.

PS: Looks like the last (and only?) time they visited Ireland was in 2019, so they must be due by now eh?

Lets just hope it wasnt such a negative experience that they havent come back for a reason

I still can’t listen to this soundtrack without balling my eyes out, relieved somewhat they didnt play anything from it last night or my friend would have had to pick me up off the floor

Im also still annoyed they changed the name from How Do You Live? to The Boy and The Heron. The original title made a lot more sense to me and wasnt spoiler filled like all of the western marketing I avoided was. In japan they had no trailers, and a single poster in tokyo announcing its arrival. Very classy carry on

I wanted to emulate this so I avoided any mention of it online or even discussing it so advertising algorithms wouldnt surprise me with a single frame.

As a result the opening scene hit me like a tonne of bricks in the cinema and I wouldnt change it for anything.

I try to do this with every game and film that i know ill be seeing or playing, and its certainly the way to go. (NTBTSTM being a recent acception to the rule)

I hope he hangs around long enough to give us one more
