One of the best episodes of VIP with Vic Michaelis they’ve ever done. Well worth the 3 day free trial to dropout tv and then forgetting to cancel it before the monthly charge kicks in. Well worth it!
For context, improv show where the guests don’t know what they’re going to look like until they’re out of the make up chair, then have to come up with a character on the spot. Only thing thats scripted is the segments and the questions, which often get derailed.
For this one they almost went with “your average middle aged british man” but landed on “interdimensional travellers from the Baby Dimension looking to get adopted by an earth mother”

I love disaster movies. They are ridiculous but they have heart. Twister I have seen a dozen times (at least as many times as I have seen a tornado in real life) The sequel wasn’t bad but I have only seen it once. The Day After Tomorrow (good luck getting into Mexico now) 2012 (which we thankfully did not see) and San Andreas (the Rock made me cry)
I love classic movies. I don’t really like modern movies. All clash and bang and no heart at all.
But I did like Armageddon. It’s an almost disaster movie
Edit: Jurassic Park. I still love the original after all this time.

Still on the first episode. He brought up underwater welding. Which is one of my favourite graphic novel shorts, I wonder if it’s an inspirational nod as I’m already seeing some parallels in the themes. That would be my first question to Mackenzie. “Hey, did you read underwater welder and if you haven’t you absolutely should”

Only the BBC could pull off a show about alchemy.

I really must check it out.
Outer Wilds jumped back into my youtube algorithm all of a sudden, lots of people playing it again for the first time. I didn’t really know why at first but I’m hearing that Project Hail Mary and Outer Wilds have a lot of thematic cross over and they deliver the same sort of emotions and epiphanys; it seems to have had a knock on effect of people seeking out more of the same and landing at Outer Wilds as the most logical answer to their quest.
All the new peple playing made me want to return and finally try out the DLC (I’d technically call it an expansion than DLC).
Echose of the Eye absolutely delivers more of the same and then some, it’s absolutely fantastic. I was avoiding it because I wanted to have more Outer Wilds to play in my future but was also worried it would detract from what was already there or throw the balance of somehow and muddy the waters a little. Not at all. I would reccomend playing the base game first though, and then installing/trying the new content afterwards as it could very well interfere with the flow of the base game if you suddenly end up there.
Going to see if I can get tickets for a showing of Project Hail Mary in the next week or two before it leaves Irish Theatres, it’s looking like the last showings will be between 14th-28th of May.
I will say, I don’t like the name (I almost passed it by as a result) but then I don’t really like sports allegorys in general but it is what it is… This is my problem for judging goods by their title…
I wonder if anyone accidentally went to see it thinking it was something to do with the NFL? 
Still don’t know about that movie Projeft Hail Mary, but what I know is that 2 evenings ago, I showed Close Encounters of the Third Kind to my eldest (15yo) and… he kinda loved it haha!
