Some of the Lore mentions a child who became a priest, and the Vy’keen who wait. Wait for what?
Greek mythology, rivers of memory end times lore, groups can wait and remember, or forget what?
Here are some in game pics to see where im coming from here lol.

Waiting waters?

Waiting?

"I do not want to go! I do not - " suggests a “promise land”.

“A swarm of memories,” suggests flowing rivers.

The others responding say glitch, distorted exocraft tire model. :disappointed: I thought it was a star gate.

It’s a ‘real’ glitch showing a Pilgrim wheel, scaled on 2 axis only (10x scale X/Z in the image)

On a planetoid in one of the rendezvous systems which has those ‘cable-pod’ things, I encountered a run-away ball.
Not one of the resident roll-around cable pods typically encountered on these worlds but an actual get-up- &-run-off critter.
It was one of those rather rare rock-runners you might encounter while mining stones & resources, but on this occasion it was a cable-pod that got up & just walked off.
It was a first for me to ever encounter any runner-rock that wasn’t your typical rock.

Awesome find, those are super rare! Or do people just mine less on those planets and trigger the event less often? It seems all rock types have a small chance to be a spider (even under water).

The rarest one I have ever heard of was that someone on Reddit showed a screenshot of an NPC outpost segment running away on spider legs… He had been mining the rocks inside the outpost’s terrarium, and one of them was a spider and it was still attached to the building…

Are they like these crabs that live in seashells, cups, or coconut shells, that is, the same species in locally camouflaged shells? Or is each it’s own species? They’re not scannable.

Think I discovered this 4 years ago . pretty sure i posted it here too. It was related to exocraft racetrack nodes casting huge wheels into the system.

edit: i already posted proof in that dudes previous thread. hes a drama addict

NMS weirdness

I think they are just sentient rocks & are just little easter eggs. There are others in asteroid fields too.
Just random little moments that sometimes pop up but have no real bearing or meaning other than amusement.
I remember after they were introduced I never found one.
Then, about a year later I triggered one & it was just so unexpected & funny to have a rock just decide it isnt getting mined & sprint off across the countryside.

Wait. There are sentient asteroids? I must see that lol.

Not sentient astroids.
Sorry should have been clearer.
Sometimes when mining asteroids ‘space jellyfish’ pop out, thats all.
Would be funny though, if an asteroid suddenly sprouted wings & took off into the distance.

Another bit more disturbing definition of an autophagy…

" Autophagy is a biological process that involves the breakdown of old or damaged parts of cells within the same cell. The literal meaning of autophagy is “self-eating” 1. Autophagy can have both positive and adverse health effects. "

The exocraft quest NPC refers to it as a sacred art, perhaps this is his holy circle.
