MINI ARG Discussion and Speculation

I was recently thinking that autophagy is what the alien lifeform in the movie The Thing does to replace people cell by cell.

Binged this show with a friend the other day. Can’t believe I’d never heard of it until that day, though its concepts are very familiar to me. Based on a novel from the 1960s but I cant remember the name my friend gave me. Definitely wasn’t the same as the shows.

To save folks a wiki click, the synopsis is a man creates a simulated world for 9000 simulated inhabitants and things get weird

edit: Forgot sometimes the links provide a preview and basically had all that info I failed to recollect right up there XD

Portals could shut down… We rebuild the Teleporting node network one by one. Black Holes stay random’ish. Joining others can save time. Nodes could have passwords or a fee for travel.

33 years ago on a Wednesday…
“In the wake of the decommissioning of the ARPANET on 28 February 1990, Vinton Cerf wrote the following lamentation, entitled "Requiem of the ARPANET”:[81]"

It was the first, and being first, was best,
but now we lay it down to ever rest.
Now pause with me a moment, shed some tears.
For auld lang syne, for love, for years and years
of faithful service, duty done, I weep.
Lay down thy packet, now, O friend, and sleep.

-Vinton Cerf

This movie scene mentions “Choice”. Those programs that do not choose encounter escalating disaster.

Neo is told to return to the source, insert a program, and then choose 23 humans? 16 male, 7 female who remain to rebuild.

Echoes in deep space ?

This news story certainly likes to echo around ETARC

I was looking for more punctuation in space last night; found loads of full stops and ellipses but really hoping to find something more substantial like a traditional ASCII emoji or a recipe for stew in morse code.
