Something I just realised: Encrypted nodes do NOT show their neighbors. Meaning if the neighbor ids are important to decrypt them, we have to have a complete map.
I’m feeling like I’m nearing the end, though. I’m hitting more and more dead ends or looparounds. Here’s another update:

I’m going for a smoke now. Probably to return that smebody else has finished the darn thing

This whole Node thing looks like what you would do before coding a text-based game or a 2D top-down adventure game. @jedidia the map is a great idea.

I don’t think anyone has mentioned this but is that a Pi symbol at the start of Tarry’s signature?

yeah it looks like it! Sneaky Tarry is trying to hide that from us.

I mentioned this was a bit odd. And a swirl on Harry’s.

Anybody knows who’s that guy ?

(file from 4130. we can expect opening the encrypted 4272 with it)

I got an Encrypted from node(7500)

I reply to myself, certailnly Charles Messier

Looks like him yeah. Searching his name got me this.

Besides being a considerably successful comet hunter and deep-sky discoverer, Charles Messier was also a skilled carthographer of the heavens. This was of particular importance for him, because for every comet discovery, he published a map of the comet’s trajectory in the Memoirs of the French Academy of Sciences. These maps, although not intended to be so, were also some of the most up-to-date star charts available.

Might be nothing though.

He’s well known for his catalogue yes, but this word don’t open node 4272.

You may not realise it yet, but you’ll want this later.

So far I have found files on 5139, 5762, 5733, 9159, 8971, 7900, 1535, 5401, 2873, 5656, 4130. Encrypted nodes at 2245, 7500, 4272.

I wasn’t keeping the backward links so I missed a section of the graph. I’m going back through and this thing keeps getting bigger. So far:

An interesting one, so far unique (and there isn’t much left - hopefully):

Node 1.618 (yes, the period is part of it)
Node Status: Invalid
Binary dump: 01001000 01100001 01110010 01110010 01111001

Last post for me. I’ll let all the Smarties have at it. But, I have made a hand-written map and sorta understand all this. Pretty cool!
Anyways, I got this key thingy. *Edit: it’s on the bottom on the screen shot, highlighted in purple. But, I don’t know how to enter it. All lower case isn’t working. shrugs Sorry, if someone already posted it.
