June 19th and 21st - New Guidance Protocols + Element 3 Discussion

Well…I’m now more inclined to not touch anything before talking with others lest I inadvertently enter something that turns out to be the “unplug all life support” command.

The way this is going, I suspect they’re trying to steer us all towards having an individual opinion about what to do for each dreamer. Then possibly they’ll have a vote on it. Highest number of votes determines the course of action, maybe?

But if that’s the case, what’s the disconnect code for? The most obvious use for that is to disconnect the dreamer.

Do we need to decide which dreamer the code applies to?

I did say a while ago only 4 will survive the ending of the Sim, which is the 4 we see on the new cover art in Next

Another reason why I think doing the chats individually before checking with others, is to get as much info as possible. Possibly they hide ‘traces’ in the conversations, which will be required later. If we just check the solution, we may be missing out on things, or at least those who chose for the easy way out.

Edit: Aren’t they also tracking us? Maybe just entering a solution without even having seen any of the convos will have bad results?

Moved over some replies from the other topic. Sorry for any inconveniennce this may cause. We should be back on track now.
@MacForADay: I edited the topic title to say June 19th instead of July 19th.

You know, I was thinking something along the same lines. I was thinking “is anybody going to play-test this thing for bugs before its released to the public?” and then when we got the “16 atlas passes” email, I started to think “I wonder if these people will be able to play-test it?”.

Hmmm… I wonder if the chosen ones in this ARG is how you get that chance to play-test it?

Just some thoughts.

All I could find on a meaning for IXNI is its a Mayan word for vomit. I found a mayan salsa recipe called IXNI PEC, Mayan for dogs vomit. I think that’s a dead end.

Not at all. Dog’s vomit accurately describes many wholefood recipes. The other accurate description for wholefoods is “roofing material”.

My thought:
{DISCONNECT CODE: UDC(B) = IXNI}
can mean: DISCONNECT end of transmission with dreamer and Emily) CODE: using UDC with (B) as key = IXNI
So, if we can find how it works, we can understand how CODE = IXNI (same number of letters) with the two strings character (Librum with the bold 3 words and Uneasy barton from Myriad site) which have the same number of characters and using a “key”

We have enough I, N and X in if indulgence. Exeter ta to find IXNI.
If we can find it, then the UDC( p ) will be usefull at a point (i guess).

But i have no idea of the logic behind so 1) i’m wrong, 2) it’s out of my competences.

Please note that your interactions with the dreamers follow a Personal Simulation protocol which is intended for you to get to know the dreamer personally. Seeking help from fellow CSD members before getting to know the person whose consciousness is stuck in the satellite might impact your future decisions.

If this turns out to be a community vote, and people don’t take the time to get to know the Dreamers, there is a very big possibility we could kill them all. :scream:

Yes, agreed. I think that’s the point of what they’re telling us.

In regards to the 4 left to survive. I thought more likely they will be the 4 stuck in the sim. These back ground stories we are seeing could be the lore behind each character we may be able to select?? Eun Ha being good with mechanisms may lead to a character that has a higher skill with finding and working with blue prints?? That is if she is forever stuck in the sim or she is freed from the sim and an un-corrupted back up is saved in the sim. Aaarggh hurry up NEXT.

I wonder whether some of the dreamers have pressing reasons for not wanting to return to the real world. Perhaps they were ill, or had committed crimes, or for other reasons found their real lives intolerable.

Perhaps it’s not just a case of “can we safely extract them?”, but also “would we be doing them any favours if we did?”

Perhaps some of them are happier in the simulation.

Well we know Phillip is in a ton of debt and harbors some anger towards his wife since he blames her for getting him stuck in the simulation…he even explicitly asked Emily to create a duplicate of his wife in the simulation and said that it would be “enough” for closure.

You keep saying that, but I don’t get that impression. He merely acknowledges the fact that it wasn’t her best decision, but “resentment” is much too strong a word. I don’t get the impression that he’s actively angry at her.
That said, I agree that something about Philip is off. Might be due to corruption in his memory, or might be something else entirely. It feels a bit like his family might be imaginary.

No, he expressed actual anger but you probably didn’t see it because it only happened if you picked a specific dialogue choice.

Right here!! This is where you see him blaming his wife. Phillip

I am so out of the loop with this part of the ARG, now reading this thread and the cautionary replies that have been advised upon, I’m a little scared to jump back in.

Where do I have to enter the “Liability” password?

Sorry didn’t have the time to catch up yet… work and everything…

Open the cellphone looking screen and type it in the box there.
