I don’t know if anyone has said this yet, but if you have a lot of “Obsolete” items and your curiosity recipes are gone, you will need to start a base from scratch, build a construction specialist terminal, and hire a new Gek Overseer. Do NOT hire anyone else until the renovated questline requires it. This will eventually get you all the blueprints you need.

The idea to START OVER with the whole Base Staff quest was a bad one. All the work we did in the Pathfinder Update with them, and it was a LOT of work, is messing up these quests. Some say to delete all our gear we’d made including bases, and I think that would be really dumb if that’s true. I spent a lot of time making a nice big base full of Farming Pods, and put down all ten Cargo Pods because I knew I’d need lots of handy storage, and they’re stuffed. There is NO WAY I could store everything including all the resources from base recycling, and I really shouldn’t have to. I put down markers on points of interest that would be extremely difficult to find again, because our scanners can’t locate anything but resources.

Going through the motions of gathering resources is fine. But the Sim should just acknowledge that the technology has been constructed and move on. I’m stuck right now at the point I’m supposed to deliver antrium to the Korvax scientist at the base, but he won’t acknowledge that I have it.

My Autonomous Mining Units I set up on emeril deposits are now mining heridium! Also, I’m one of those guys with a base sitting half below the surface of my planet. Plants are everywhere inside.

I might just forget everything, do without a lot of goodies and new quests and go exploring until this mess gets resolved. :worried:

Well, the original idea was to have the base shift to a new suitable position. Obviously something went wrong there. I think the specialist quest lines were reset because they now offer different (additional) recipes, so people should really do them, though they should be able to complete them in a less buggy fashion.
I hope they will fix that somewhere in the next week(s) or so, but who knows. :slight_smile:

Finally, you should indeed not be required to delete your base entirely. That being said, some people may still want to, due to the fact that their planet changed from what they liked to what they do not. In case you have space requirement, you could just buy a couple of cheap 30 slot haulers (if you’re not maxed on ships yet). Though I personally believe that you have waaaay too much stuff already if you have all 10 of your base vaults full. (And presumably your freighter.)

I have called m frieghter many times to different systems but still nothing?? Maybe he just doesn’t want to talk to me😔

The problem is that you just never know when you’ll need some obscure substance. And some of this stuff is at least inconvenient to get hold of. Omegon? How often do you see that? It’s rare. I’ve run out of all kinds of stuff. If most resources were kind of all over the place like they were at the start, I wouldn’t be such a hoarder. But I’ve run out of thamium before, and that’s the ONLY stuff that powers your suit. Some slots are holding relics I got from Monoliths, and I have a feeling they’re special.

I still have a couple of Haulers to upgrade, and man, you need a LOT of all KINDS of resources to upgrade ships, and that’s going to cut into cargo space too. I do have five ships, one was my main vessel for most of the journey. I let two vanish, one an S Class Explorer with 32 slots! I would sell a spare Fighter, but I can’t sell ships. Yet.

Find a portal first .That triggers the Artemis call. Also you might need to be in your ship and not your freighter

You open crashed containers with rusty metal. The green ones i believe

Tip.
Put your horded Antrium Bulb stuff away.
Sellect the scientist in the LOG.
Go out and harvest some new Antrium ensuring the scientist quest is active.
Then, take the newly harvested stuff to the scientist.
Do exactly what he asks.
That should work.

Some other tech/fetch/quests allow you to use some stored material but you still MUST follow the steps exactly. Ie fetch, plant, grow, bring back. (After you have fetched then you can grab some extra out of storage).

I horded a 1000 of every annoying-to-find ellement prior to 1.3 & didn’t retain any crafted materials. Most are still valid apart from name changes.
Treat the 1.3 update as a dissaster scenario you are recovering from. I found the different mindset helps limit frustrations.

Is there any way to clear old location waypoints on a planet? Over the course of the day I’ve inadvertently ended up back at the same ruin about 4 times now because the waypoint doesn’t disappear :roll_eyes:

I reported that to HG. It has been stuck like that since the update…I get lost too because of it…

I could have sworn ages ago if you either rescanned or some such they’d clear (and similarly visited sites esp ruins, etc would go dim) , but now…

Yeah this was an issue after initial launch I believe, but they fixed it before if not when the foundation update hit, now it seems to have reared its ugly head again :confused:
