For those who have gone back to their main save, did the contents of your storage containers at the base transfer as part of keeping the base?
UPDATE 2/12/24: Got an answer below. No, the items in storage will not transfer. Also, bring any tech modules from your ship/multitool/exocraft/exosuit/freighter that you really want over via the transfer window or they will be lost.
UPDATE #2 2/12/24: The inventory expansions I brought over to the primary save can’t be installed. Don’t know if that’s intentional or a glitch.

What happened to me and others, was that the ‘Expansion’ milestone, would get stuck on the requirements as soon as the last required building item would be placed down to meet completion.

No, the Storage Containers will be empty. So will any other inventories like vehicles, refiners, etc. This is likely done to prevent issues with overlap of already existing inventory on the main save, as well as preventing to get some of the items that are not allowed to take back to your main save, like the companion eggs and mission critical items.

Thanks for the answer! I ended up pulling the trigger and ending the expedition before the optionals were done, and found this out first hand. I think your reasoning on why is probably correct.
I transferred all the stuff that I genuinely wanted through the normal means, as a hedge. Specifically, I brought over all the expansion modules that I earned or found, along with several of the tech upgrades.
Curiosity question, what items have folks chosen to transfer back to the primary save?

If it’s not landing when the experimental ends, it’s certainly maybe might be on V day. If not then it’ll be Thursday. Maybe even Friday. Dare I say next Monday?

Last internal update to steam was two hours ago.
Also wondering if there might be a delay for some with Xbox certification like the last time. That was a spicy few days

Yeah I think he mentions during a GDC talk that while developing nms he also became a father for the first, second and third time.
