Datamining (Maximum Spoilers)

If you want to regularly use AI generated code, separation of data from logic is your absolute first priority. Get that code clean and move any data far away from where you intend the AI to work. It’s often bad enough to go and fix the broken constants, but at least that’s a lot easier than the data itself.

Coding with AI without having meticulous code structure in your project first is its own special kind of hell. If you can’t keep the AI tasks short, precise and isolated, you’re screwed…

very true.
I am pretty basic I use chatgpt / grok to simply cleanup functions, classes. Nothing ever really touches live data of any kind. Mostly it when I am lazy, and I know I type out what I want, but I’m like hey change this class in this way. Load it in a DIFF view, see what it changed see if I like or hate it.. and move on lol.

But lazy is the downfall when you rush and just assume it is your friend. I mean it thinks its correcting your mistakes.

I mean I love the idea of someday being, here is a movie where they recast this actor..replace him out with original and make him sounds the same. Or here is a book. Make it a film.

How cool would that be, Star Trek Holodecks…well at least 2D.
Nothing is going to stop AI/ Robots. they are coming. Humanity is in for massive changes in the next 20 years.

Humans are not evolved enough, we are not mature enough to handle it.

Amen.

We always build utopian models for tech in our minds but it will always be restricted and demonised under the societal and capital restrictions most civilisations find themselves in. Art becoming a commodity certainly doesn’t help. But how else will artists feed thesmelves? Imagine if they didn’t have to worry about the latter part… (we do have art funds for those very reasons but its not exactly ideal for ALL artists)

Storytelling, storing knowledge behind symbols, is our super power. Always has been, it’s what got us to where we are today and afaik isn’t observed anywhere else in Nature. Our ability to pass on what we learn even if it dies with us, is the only thing we do that makes us different than the neighbours we share this planet with. It also allows us to express complicated feelings that are beyond the understanding of language because language isn’t the only way we experience the world. The right combination of shapes, colour and patterns can speak volumes to a soul.

Rambling just to explain why I both feel weird about art as this multi billion dollar industry and also why I get why it has to be that way and how it became that way and why you get armies of people coming together to tell and share one story with the world, it has the power to change lives for the better. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that? But we also need to fill our bellies.

We just need to, stop giving the people at the tippy top, yacht money, bring thigns back under control a little. People don’t need Yachts. Or Private jets. Skype has existed for a long time. Or it did. But, video communication is cheap, instant and effective. You have golf courses at home. etc. There is no excuse for such lavish existence or expenses anymore, not with the future our children and their children will be facing. People in the future will no doubt look back at the people who lived such exuberant lives the same way we look back at the behaviour of historical feudal figures, with nothign but contempt and disgust.

Would be nice if we could just give future generations a period of history to read back on where, greed and power weren’t attached at the hip.

Sorry, fell onto a soap box. I don’t even know whose it is but I should get out of here before they return for it

No the desire for power and greed of wealth is what is holding our species back.

If you replace 90% of the work force with machines, where does that leave humanity?
The rich will want all of us dead, as we are no longer needed to provide for them.

When in reality, without the need of basic human needs, society “COULD” devote its time to science, exploration, beautifying the world, with sustainable buildings and equipment. instead of making things at are designed to last less and less time to just sell more.

umm also code and stuff..
