The new banner image posted above translates to ‘cartographers

Have the Seasonal Data files been updated? Is there any more data regarding those? Any new patches? I’ll be on afterwards to datamine myself, but just want to know what we know…

With the new update only just having been released, I doubt much actual datamining has been done yet. Not even sure how much we can find without MBINC being fully updated. What you see posted above is pretty much it at the moment (at least on here).

Oh my, some interesting and cool new stuff incoming!

I am not planning to fully spoil it all, sorry, I am sure someone else will, but I will say the following:

  • There appears to be another Twitch event planned where pets are on the menu as well.
  • There is another jetpack effect present in the source (QS)
  • New additions to the Bytebeat library (QS)
  • Expeditions Season 3 of course (Cartographers)
  • New Egg?
  • Plenty of new QS items

Who knows what else …

Other than bytebeat, those things are present in the patch notes and in-game at the quicksilver bot. The egg is one of those biological horrors and the engine effect is bubbles(unless there is another?) The twitch event was mentioned in the patch notes too.

Anyone else feel like this update isn’t that big compared to previous anniversary updates? I mean, its a big update, but the scope of the changes seems more like one of the smaller updates, just a good one. Also, its not update 4.0 and HG hasn’t updated his twitter account to say frontiers either. Hmm…

Wait…are we gonna hatch it…like the Living Ship? :scream:

I was shocked this was not a 4.0 update, but Sean did say this is just another update. Makes you wonder what would be worthy of a 4.0 update if this isn’t it. Some people are saying there was a ton of under the hood stuff…I haven’t had anytime to look into it.

Take a good look at the Frontiers artwork.
One thing, the Atlas has been getting closer and deeper red. Now it is glowing hot and it looks like missles are being fired.

The songs are pretty cool actually :heart_eyes_cat:

I’d expect missiles to have a straight line or arc trail. These are a bit “squirmy.” Seeding other universes?

Actually, they leave twisty trails. In game, I would also assume they are seeking a target.

could be…but I get a vibe of launching escape pods/crafts from the planet…that has replaced the red circle with the red planet. Very similar to Origins, same baren planet style with infected separated by Atlas…

Ummm …

Wind can alter the trail once it has left the missile, but the trails appear straignht when first launched. Those missile types that are just “shoved” out follow a parabola when in a planet’s gravity well. In space, they would fly straight unless programmed otherwise or to seek heat/whatever…

The thing that intrigues me a bit is that the partially obscured planet has bands similar to Jupiter and Saturn – gas planets?

Im probably very late to the party, but heres a list of all Expedition milestone names and objectives.
