Could be how the unlock key is delivered for a trial version perhaps? “Entitlement” leads me to think this but I’m not sure if that is something to do with the app or just something SteamDB is saying (im not logged in to steamdb)

Seems like a new marketing push. Play an expedition for free, then decide whether you want to continue playing. Looks like an attempt to onboard people that may be interested in the game, but not enough to put down money.

From what I found in source, there is no real purpose, other than a loop to gather Atlas Words and Nanites. Also the final Atlas has a new choice to make, which has consequences and reward depending on the choice made. I personally do not feel like there is anything missing here. This was already present in source prior to 4.50 as well. No changes were made since experimental.

Anyways I am personally not too sure if anything is missing in regards to the changes with Atlas. Makes perfect sense to me for being yet another reward loop, without any true ‘purpose’.

might be right…
but crafting an item, to simply unlock a title…nah I feel there is a reason to power this up, and I feel the text is almost hinting at choosing sides… feels like collecting the souls again…
But we will see, I’m okay being wrong.

Wasn’t the Atlas Path left open-ended with the ability to return if you decided not to seed a world?
But a new craftable item is another that maybe has no real purpose? Remembrance opens up lore but we have a couple more installable crafted ‘stars’ that seem to have no purpose.
