Worlds part 2 - Update 5.50 (Spoilers)

Having this same issue now too, must have crept in with yesterday’s patch.

Cannot summon any exo craft, the preview model doesn’t try to adhere to anything, its just locked to centre of wherever crosshair is looking. No message to say cannot summon etc if you try, just unresponsive.

The only Exocraft that isn’t effected by this is the Nautilon, it places into water no problem.

Came across this clearing with four memory stones and one of them gave me the final build piece of the ruins

I found a moon with 3 underwater creatures but the only water is in the caves and there has never been any creatures inside cave water. Seems to still be true.

What do you mean “electrical disturbance detected”?

The one thing that would make these gravity storms better is the animals being lifted into the air along with me

I was only thinking this earlier while fighting sentinels on a gas giant.

I wish some of their armour or a whole sentinel would get sucked up or at least take aoe damage from the hazardous storms.

Having a tornado show up and take out all the little guys but leaves the large walkers unfazed would make for some pretty amazing moments

I wonder how long it took HG to get the license to use the video and pictures of jupiter. Maybe thats why it got delayed from last summer? XD

They asked me nicely. I was reluctant at first but then I decided to let them. :smirk:

Ooh, I encountered one of those angry lil spark storms last night while modifying my home base in Eissantam. To say I was shocked by its sudden appearance behind me on my otherwise peaceful paradise planet would be a bit of an understatement, lol

Kinda just stood there and watched it roam around my house, dissipating and reforming nearby several times (while trying to stay out of its way after attempting to walk through it once-- for science ).

I found a gas giant with some water. A body of it was concealed by ground but some of it opened up to the surface elements by a hole in the ceiling/ground.

What I noticed was that when the tornado passed over the body of water, whether it was the open part or the part covered by terrain/in caves, the effect of the tornado would still happen and I would get dragged in one direction while underwater and only be able to slightly move up or down as it pulled me away.

I found a little deeper down it was no longer reaching me. It seems it’s cylinder of influence might reach further down than it’s graphical display would indicate.

I mentioned in an earlier post, in my first base on a gas giant, the extreme weather events would pick me up and smash me against the walls inside my base building.

Smashing. Just smashing! :joy::wink:

I’m glad I found a way to access a purple system without doing the story. I’ve been playing this game for 8 years just wondering about and I’m not going to do stories now. I did enough of the atlas path to still have an atlas stone so I’m good.

Aaaaand how’d you do that?

Looks like Methane may be in purple systems, but the stellar extractor isn’t working. I’ll try setting up a portable gas extractor.

Ahhh… I was wondering about that…

It seems like it’s just a valuable undersea resource for now, there might be the odd tech upgrade that might look for it but as far as I can recall none of the new Nautilon or deep sea membrane tech required it.

Either way I’m doing what one does in no mans sky, hoarding a bunch of it in case it has more uses later

Ooh you beat my record of 1400 odd.

I know the water gets darker the deeper you go but I feel the water gets dark sooner than you’d expect, before the old max depth even, would be nice if it happened a little later and the ramp up to darkness was a little slower.

Also I’ve noticed some of the new underwater fluorescents can be found in waters with the old max depth, it feels odd seeing bioluminescence at those depths but hey, these are alien worlds in a simulation that gave up trying to replicate actual reality millennia ago

I need to go back to the gimme planet from the story. That one was nearly ~1800u deep and its in Euclid. I’ve been putting it of because of the disappearing water issue.

Mine got dark several times as I crossed into a deeper area. Each time, the warning message came up about the pressure at that depth and my life support drained a little faster
