Griefers ruin it for everyone. I used to enjoy exploring the bases at the weekend events - one of my few joys on these tedious missions. Then about a month or so back I encountered a base that trapped me with a one-way teleport into a glass cage. I had to reload, which of course resets you to The Anomaly, nullifying all progress. I don’t visit bases anymore, I’m just going through the motions to get the quicksilver now.

Oh yeah, that’s an important point to remember: if you start from the same system and come back after a week and the portal is still open, it takes you to the previous event planet. You have to interact with it once to set it to the new community planet coordinates.

The servers are down. I tried another NMS version from a few months ago and it doesn’t work either.

Multiple reports coming in for the servers not connecting. I have reported the issue, to hopefully see it resolved soon.

I went to the Anomaly and everyone was there but no weekend mission. Just a stack of daily missions waiting for me.

Not sure if it has to do with (previous) progress / tier progression, but on the Galactic Atlas, both PS4 and PC are unable to load progress as well, while Xbox appears to be fine. I bet this is linked with the same servers and a small indication of them currently failing.
Seen a lot of reports with connection issues and considering it’s late, doubt we will see it fixed soon. We will likely have to wait on HG to wake up to fixing this.

And HG are all working from home right now. I hope that does not keep them from fixing it.
At least daily missions are still working but as you said, no progress is being charted.

I have determined that the text for the weekly missions is looping now, so I won’t be making any more videos on them since I’m not recording anything new for posterity.

@BoomstickJoe was having the same problems; could not get the weekly mission or buy the newest quicksilver item that had unlocked. He uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it worked, or at least, that was when it decided to start working for him.

Yes it seems like that fixed it for me. I tried everything else: rebooting the ps4, restoring licenses, rebuilding database, turning multiplayer on/off. It wasn’t until i uninstalled and reinstalled did it finally work.

Interesting - where are you located in the world and which timezone.
I am on PC and GMT +2 in South Africa and just ended a couple of hours of gameplay with regular checks to Anomaly/Nexus and servers off/no weekend event yet for me.

Don’t bother uninstalling/reinstalling. Just wait until the servers come back. The chances of everybody’s game being corrupted is very, very, very small.
The servers started working for me 20 mins ago. I didn’t do a thing. It’s not you, it’s them.
But yesterday it wasn’t working. BST timezone.

Discovery Server issues and Weekend Mission should be fixed now, may require a restart. If the issue still persists, make sure to report to Zendesk.

Worked fine for me and things were much calmer at the mission site. Though I could tell someone had attempted to TM the ground under the waypoint, it either did not completely work or it just did not show for me.
Grab 25 Gravatino Orbs to make this a quick and easy trip.

Odd, I got the same mission as last week. I knew to pickup the beans on the way. And I got the rewards as normal. Not bad for me, that planet has a lot of Vykeen knowledge stones, and I am behind on that language.
