Week of June 1st - Loop16 Seq25 + Satcom Calibration COMPLETE

The thing is is that the app has required an access code even before the sound came into play. So, wouldn’t it fall back to the Dev kits?

I suspect not. The @oldgods email asked us all to investigate this.

"The Citizen Science Division has been extraordinarily helpful in the past week. Your combined telemetry data is helping the engineers at Myriad to stabilize and diagnose the issues with their satellite.

At 16:16 EST, a new signal was registered. We invite all Citizens to listen to their Uplink app when the satellite is over their house and report any findings in the main investigation thread."

I am currently getting the following:

That could definitly be a submarine!

Yup, it definitely looks like it’s repeating the sequence.

True, could be. But it is a website that is viewable on PC too

I think some kids designed a submarine with a propeller that was designed to match the fib sequence… The screw would make four full turns all with different pitches according to the sequence. As the numbers got larger the blade gets smaller.

I found this Submarine Sound to be closest to what we hear when we tap uplink app/pc. It doesn’t have the pulse sounds that’s coming from everyone’s shared audio, though

Edit: The crackling noise is what’s grabbing me.
And we were told to get plenty of rest.:sleeping:

At one point on the Reddit post, Emily told us June 1st to June 6th. Maybe this countdown will keep happening but we will get a new longer file every other day with a clue. First clue was Fibonacci Sequence, maybe we will get a new one tomorrow?

Back in the 1970s, I spent several months, off and on, on board a naval nuclear submarine. I won’t go into the circumstances.

I love the description “relaxing cosy sounds”. I can think of few things less relaxing or cosy than being on board a submarine. Submarine crews are rigorously psychologically tested. The experience would drive most people crazy. Even the people who are psychologically suitable are only allowed to do it for a few years. Even really stable submariners become strange after a while.

…and how did you fare?

As I said, it was only for a few months, and only off and on. I wasn’t there all the time. I got to know the crew, though.

As I said, long-term submariners become strange.

I used to have a submarine that went in the bath as a kid. It used a fizzy tablet to sink and rise  I think I started strange and ended up mad.

Yes, I’ve come across fizzy tablets that will do that to you. A guy at Glastonbury sold me some tablets that were more than fizzy… but that’s another story.

Is this why you look like your ETARC Avatar? :hushed: O r is that from working on and off a nuclear powered submarine…

In fact, my avatar is much better looking than me. It’s composed from five different photographs of Czech local politicians. All of whom are younger and more handsome than me.

I feel sorry for the one with one eye!

At least you guys got the choice as to whether to be strange or mad, I was cursed from birth. %-)
