Ok, let’s leave the sounds for a moment. Might be they’re really just a countdown. In a satelite signal. Maybe we should all get our monuments to safety before it expires…
In any case, here’s the exact wording from the mail from leighton, emphasis mine:
We need to analyze her recent interactions to figure out if she was able to make predictions that could help to identify and isolate the source of the broadcast.
Sounds like the recent postings by emily on reddit should contain the clue we need to pin down the lab.
Can anybody confirm that emily posted the excerpt of the song 6 times on reddit? I just don’t get how to navigate that ridiculous platform, so I’m not sure I’ve got them all…
Yes, I have them all copied, as below, last reply to first (top to bottom in the comment overview)

I just added the ‍ html entity to my post above. Is that the Character Code 0x9E you refer to? I prefer to stick with HTML entities, as that is most precise and how they are used or meant to be seen by us through source.
Is there anything that these characters have in common? ‬ is a Chinese character that translates to “ship,” so that might be meaningful, and 0x2c in decimal form is 44. 0x9E is a Epson printer error code. 0xFF has a integer value of 255.
Just my thoughts.
Is loop16 a printer, by any chance?
Be careful with that. It seems that one of the reasons these codes have been chosen is because they don’t show up in HTML readers. I tried posting the whole Emily sequence to this forum - nothing out of the ordinary appeared. The rogue code was completely invisible. It only shows up when you’re using software that doesn’t directly interpret HTML.
The reason you usually do not see them is because they are control characters or non-printable characters. These characters have a function, not a visual output, unless you try to show them where they are not interpreted correctly.
Yes, I know. The point I’m making is that they haven’t been chosen for their control characteristics - they’ve been chosen because they’re invisible in HTML. Don’t get drawn too far down the HTML functionality route.
If we’d only looked at these posts in HTML compliant software, we still wouldn’t know there was anything hidden at all.
Oh yes, it does not appear they are used for their functionality. I am trying to make sense of them, likely as some secret message. There is certainly some repetition going on there, which I think we need to translate to something meaningful.
