Wow, I am doing exactly the same and get literally only the text dump. No formatting whatsoever. This is weird. But I did see weird stuff in text → ascii → text conversion. Your screenshot is much “easier” to read though :smiley:

There are seven versions of the verse in the Reddit thread. The first one is not from Emily - it doesn’t have the weird formatting. It’s the six posts after that you need - the ones that are from Emily.

Yeah, I used Webdings font and the spaces show up in there as undecipherable letters too. -)

It looks like the undecipherable letters could be formatting codes. Or maybe they can’t be represented because they are in a different language…like Chinese? -)

One of the hidden symbols looks like an Dove as depicted by clipart. I’m trying to find the font that shows that symbol in the character set…then maybe correlating the same unicode for the letter in a different langugage character sets? -) (Unicode Character 'DOVE OF PEACE' (U+1F54A))

So in Webdings, the hidden letters are -----ÿ,- where the ÿ is the Dove of Peace symbol and the comma appears as a chili pepper. Those five hidden letters then the Dove of Peace symbol repeat throughout the message.

Rather than try to reproduce it, here is a screenshot of the message with the hidden characters when pasted into Wordpad:

EDIT: NEW EMAIL EVERYONE!

Ok so in summary, what we have to go on:

(1) The audio files that keep on releasing carry a “countdown” blip that appears one second earlier for each new audio. It reaches zero at 5:16pm EST today. But no other info is discovered in the audio as of yet.

(2) The filenames of the audio clips might be random, or might be carrying a hidden message or cypher.

(3) The “weird” formatting of Emily’s reddit spur of posts might also have a pattern that is so far undiscovered.

While (1) seems to be a countdown to a time that “suits” the ARG (usually Saturday evenings New York time is prime-time for Waking Titan activity), (2) and (3) could possibly contain info that we need for when the countdown hits zero. The problem is that it is only (3) that is accessible to us at this stage, since new audio files (and therefore new file names) keep on appearing.

Pretty sure the files contain a virus, I mean, we’re spreading it like Cooties. We have apps on all our devices synced to some kind of signal we don’t understand, pinging an unknown server for a purpose we know nothing about. We’re doomed.
