Just saw this on youtube and thought about Waking Titan so I share this with you haha.
There are a lot of geometric shapes in nature. Fractal snowflakes (crystalline structures), fractal broccoli (Broccolo Romanesco - https://www.fourmilab.ch/images/Romanesco/Lcr1.html), Fibonacci series in cabbage (http://www.utaot.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/149215_360090580774017_2144321517_n.jpg), pinecones (http://www.utaot.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/IMG_31691.jpg), sunflowers (http://www.utaot.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/IMG_31721.jpg), etc. Nothing new for nature. In fact, it was humans’ discoveries of these patterns that led them to try to understand the reason for their creations…hence a new category of mathematics. Thank you Mother Nature! -)
P.s. The video mentioning the Plains of Catan for hexagonal shapes…LOL!! -)
