If you get close enough they spew toxic junk.

Yeah, they need to make them more dangerous though. A cool mechanic would have been if they borrowed and a dust cloud came at you that you have to move out of the way before they resurface and damage you. These seem to just look at you menacingly while drooling some acid without actually shooting it at you.
