As soon as you notice yourself falling through terrain, immediately activate your jet pack and turn to look upwards. When you hit the terrain layer (it won’t let you get through), use your grenade launcher to destroy the terrain. This should get you out. Quick reflexes can save you there. 
(Of course it’s still a bug and should be fixed, but just mentioning this as a workaround.)

I had a similar difficultly - I think mine, however, was me not reading it correctly -
it was a couple of days ago: struggling to remember exactly but I couldn’t see the delivery marker on the galactic map because my home base marker overrode it, either that or I hadn’t pressed whichever D-pad button I needed to.
have a fiddle about with the up/down/left/right see if it helps

I’m inclined to think that HG have removed the exploitation of iron mining with grenades.
EDIT: I agree they could have at least left the some kind of explosion effect instead of a ‘poof and gone’

It’s prob caus we should be usin our mining lazers however I did like using the granades for that purpose, much easier and more satisfying

Has anyone had any issue obtaining glyphs? I got one last night from a grave but it didn’t show in my inventory??
I picked up 2 last night, one was above ground(which I found strange seeing as how they are “supposed” to be in caves?)
Thanks Oshoryu, that was what I was thinking but was too afraid to test it out and lose my galactic hub station prior to 1.32.
However even though I had two stations saved during 1.32 that carried over from 1.2, I lost my galactic hub system after using first mandatory portal for Story Mode. The two stations I had were my galactic hub, and then the most recent station used while following the story path.
I didn’t do anything like venture from my base to a new system or anything. It just seemed to wipe both 
Which would not be a problem now with portals, however it seems I was supposed to learn some glyphs during story mode? I’m near the very end and havent learned a single one, and I am not seeing traveller graves anywhere, spent 4 hours searching caves til i googled and realised it was a bug others have hit.
Will have to wait for a patch though very tempted to start a new game now that earning money isn’t so difficult.
I’ve yet to see any proof they are in caves, feels like one of those internet rumors or it was just one near a cave.
Actually, @ekult, I found my second one in a cave. As luck might have it, it was near a very small opening leading straight down into the cave system. They fool me because I am always actively seeking out the knowledge stones and they share the same icon.

Yeah I keep hearing they are in the opening areas, but not actually in the caves, and then I hear they are just tutorials and you’re not actually collecting them…
Umm, Im not sure on that one. Both Glyphs are revealed in the guide for me.
My previous station teleport points survived into 1.3 thankfully. Only now they’ve renamed everything, I’m even more lost as to what leads where!
I’m steering well clear of the story missions until it’s stable, I’m having a tough enough time with just the base missions.

have you entered them into a portal?
Not as of yet. I am in no hurry to move forward. I am building and selling Circuit Boards to unlock slots in my 41 slot hauler. I was buying time for the base mission glitches to be fixed before moving on with the “story”. If I happen across a portal I will test entering the glyphs.
Cool, try getting coordinates if you want, for the next glyph you find.
They have same icon as knowledge stones? Thank you! Everyon else i’ve seen discussing was talking about white markers. Seems to be a slew of misinformation surrounding these.
The searching in caves thing comes directly from the games guide itself.
Was I supposed to learn a glyph as part of the story? Because I am at the very end with a decision to make (which im putting of for the time being) and I’ve zero glyphs.
@toddumptious Here is the info I have. I am on PS4, I just happend across this glyph on the surface while searching for resources. I thought it was a knowledge stone.

I recieved no special instructions regarding glyphs, just happend across one, and then a second one on a different planet.
EDIT: Not sure if it affects it, but I am in the midst of the artemis story path, (although I am currently sidetracked) but it is active.

Did you start fresh? Or how long has your current save been active? Mines been going since my first restart back in october 2016, post 1.1 and pre 1.2 (was in hilbert and wanted to go back to Euclid and journey to ga;lactic hub).
I am on a restart, so yes. I did backup my original save but probably will just continue with the current one, unless something else game breaking occurs.
