Ahh interesting ok
It was 3 hours 20 minutes I think when I completed my first 3
Wonder what % it’s at now
Didn’t see this posted anywhere yet, but I’m still getting caught up with the forum after doing my 3 missions this evening (taking a break from gaming while they refresh)…
Interesting lore tease/spoiler below
:
During the Atlas interface encounter, there’s some in-game spectrogram shenanigans. When you present the sample to the Atlas, the scream it does says “she”.
I don’t think I caught it but I had to turn off MP to get in. I was caught bouncing around inside the entry cause it was too crowded.
My focus was not good
There is a lot of discussion about time shifting in this expedition. I experienced something like that when I landed at the McDs…I am starting to feel like this does indeed tie in with the ARG
This really caught my attention
Dangit, out of hearts! ![]()
I had MP turned-off until handing in my missions, kinda forgot about it really after the initial obligatory “turn off PvP”, etc.
When I returned to the Anomaly and switched it back on, it was really neat seeing everyone in their color-coded outfits and ships. I like how I was able to remake my avatar from my main save, but they could only use the team color.
I was a bit perplexed at not being able to import a ship (brought my atlas scepter though), but the more I think about it, I actually like that from a game balance/challenge perspective. Despite featuring corvettes in the trailer, I also noted that corvette creation was disabled at my local space station
(thought about building a quick n’ dirty one between missions, but no dice).
Yes. Once I saw how things were working, not bringing a lot with you makes sense. It could quickly unbalance the teams.
Last check though, I noticed one team had far fewer players so far.
I still wonder what determines which team you are placed on. It does not seem to be the answers to the questions or at least not only the answers.
Yeah, was thinking the same while taking the quiz and read that first question about sleep, like “Okay, it’d be neat to know what they’re using this data for, but this can’t be the deciding factor, since these answers are unlikely to result in balanced teams if just taken as-is…” ![]()
and I remember we had to choose Atlas or Atlantid before. What did they ever do with that data?
Another thing I’m curious about with this expedition…
…Is how many other Travelers took a moment to alt+tab and queue-up Beastie Boys before heading out on that one mission

I listened to it yesterday. Does that count?
Jumping back in…
That was just for the head cosmetic, one or the other. But you could do it twice and get both.
So I just fought the swarms giant thingy,
watched it blow up atlas, got warped to the world of glass and saw the day night cycle speed up like it did in the cursed, was happy to see a McDonalds after all that chaos, although briefly, then got warped and re-iterated… Same planet, but not the glass variant. I decided not to go back to the Micky Bees, just in case. Great place for a base, great name, fair play to that traveller for figuring out where that location is <3
This leads me to believe this IS the same force that was screwing with us in The Cursed, or the fast day-night cycle is just a property of that place…
Anyone else thinking the same or making the same connection after all that?
I did my dailys, looking forward to doing more.
0% still. This looks like it’s intended to last for 2 months at the most, or maybe sooner if the community gets there before the automatic completion timer does. With past expeditions that had milestones there was two timers; an overall number that had to be hit by the community, or a deadline set by HG where the goal would autocomplete, I would say this is a similar situation.
Countdown was 6 hours until I can do my next, which means we can do a few throughout the day I guess.
Huh, I didn’t know the Atlas played any instruments, I hope they get theirs fixed, I’d love to hear them play it.
Really liked this too. I’m Blue Weaver Todd. Woo woo!
So, if the questionaire doesn’t decide our chosen team as has been figured out… I wonder if it’s something to do with our HelloGames account? You’ll have one if signed up to twitch drops or cross-save… but then what happens to people with neither? So it can’t be that. I would say it’s either platform username serial number, or machine mac address, since people who have tried with different saves or tried restarting before beginning, keep getting same team regardless of question/answer choices.
I’m going to enter in my PC save and see what I get.
I also didn’t bring anything with me, this seemed like one that would be fun to do from scratch. While you can’t bring your ship, you can claim expedition ships and multi tools from the QS companion, I’ve seen a few floating about. So that’s an option for those who want to do that.
I’m gonna stick with my blue starfighter, of all the expeditions this seems like the one that has the best reason to just stick with your starter ship, and represent your team.
I’ll be doing that tomorrow, definitely.
I am going to get started on a Lore Book for this asap, but I am going to have to be careful as the story is not done yet. So I may wait until it’s done and work on the ones I never finished 1-2 years ago… I also stopped before In Stellar Multitudes was released… Will be nice to have all of this stuff in one easy to reach place for when this expedition is done.
Hey @MacForADay , new ARG (not yet sure if official or fan made), some ol regulars are back on the forum too and a lot of new faces. JoooOooOOOooin uUuUUUuUUUuussss! This place is very busy, feels just like the good ol Waking Titan days.
So there must be a universal timer. It read 5 and half hours before I can play again. Also, the competition is tough. All 3 teams running really close together. It will be a nail biter.
It is chaos in Seidi trying to pry open this damn wreck
Oh, Oh, I almost forgot! I have a theory, on
what the Swarm/ Emperor of Glass is.
Polo mentions The Swarm has the same signal as the atlas, they are in fact, the same even.
We know the Atlas was deleting it’s own processes, so it could run the version of the Sim we all inhabit today across infinite iterations. This is why Telamon finally decided to confront them about this erratic beahviour, which led to their fate being trapped in our Exosuit.
The force leading the Swarm is referred to in Milestones and mission descriptions as The Emperor of Glass, so it’s something that came from the glass but is distinctly different from The Void Mother/Abyss/Korvax Prime/She who has many names.
If it has the same signal as the atlas, if it IS the same as the Atlas as Polo says.
Then what we are seeing here is, the parts of the Atlas which it got rid of. It’s processes which were deleted. This would explain why they are so vengeful in trying to destroy Atlas Stations etc. It want’s to do what Atlas did to them. Complete annihilation.
I actually broke with my usual tradition of playing expeditions as they come & decided to redeem my dusty & near forgotten Herald ship, since I ended up on team Red (Royal).
I then ‘recycled’ my starter fighter & moduled & beefed up the Herald using the expedition rewards & that tasty pile of nanites reward.
Really enjoying this new story arc.
This planet is actually a hell hole and it’s absolutely chaotic and I cannot even get anything done because there’s so much chaos happening, bro
I don’t even know who you are anymore. Did you also break tradition for that question at the start and help out the Vy’Keen cub? ![]()
Ooooh, I’m gonna recreate the Questionaire here as polls, see what we all picked.
Is it First? Is it Last?
- It is First
- It is Last
First. Last. It is fragmented. A formula for a soul.
What do you think you are?
- A Traveller
- A player
It is part of the truth. But you are fragmented.
Scenario: You are sleeping. What is it you dream of?
- Flying
- Reuniting with the dead
- Being chased
- Failing a test
I dream of my family of glass. But the boundaries are cracking. Something is not contained
Scenario: It is the distant past. You have the power to prevent the birth of the First Spawn. The calamity of Korvax Prime will not come to pass, and the Gek will never exist.
- I prevent the birth of the First Spawn
- I do not interfere with history
A decisive choice. I am learning which fragment you are. One of three.
Scenario: You meet an artificial lifeform. They do not know they are artificial. Do you tell them?
- No, they are happier not knowing
- Yes, they deserve to know the truth
What is truth? What are you?
Scenario: You witness a Vy’keen cub being forced into battle. It is shivering, afraid, and wounded. This ritual is traditional. A requirement for transition into adulthood.
- I decide this is wrong, and rescue the cub
- I respect Vy’keen culture, and leave them
Something has escaped... help. I need help. Two last questions.
Scenario: A young ToilGek is in poverty, working long hours for little pay. They are caught stealing from their wealthy Director. Do you report them?
- Yes, stealing is wrong
- No, the Director can spare it
I have assessed your responses. I have assessed your history. Your fragment becomes clearer.
Scenario: You have sixteen minutes to live. What do you do with your time?
- Perform a kindness
- Enjoy the time I have
- Leave a legacy
- Accept the inevitable
