The Scanners tracking function has been borked for a while, the last few months while doing community missions it always just stays locked pointing you to the first one it directs you to when you first activate it.
I just defiantly switch to regular scanner and walk into the horizon waiting for a new source to appear. Or just get in ship and fly a good distance.
Something I thought they may have fixed by now.
Oh also I do not recall if I experience this on PC.
I think this expedition will be a little confusing for new players.
They know we are travellers. And they know there is an Anomaly/Nexus. But then we, the player character are unique from all travellers. We are the traveller Anomaly. Aka The last Traveller. We are all the same anomaly bleeding through the boundaries of an infinite number of Sims been run concurrently.
New players might not know they are an Anomaly.
The messages during expedition just said “You are the Anomaly”.
A new player , it might make them think they are the Nexus/Anomaly and I’m picturing so many people right now have brain shattering moments where they think they are a TARDIS, that can go within a TARDIS, which is itself.

Things I’ve learned from my time on an extreme storm planet trying to collect storm crystals…
The time dialation and the spectral monsters are tied to the purple bar. Keep it full, they only pop out and spook ya but remain docile unless attacked, and the stars seem to spin less or not at all?
Obviously since it’s yr hazard suits the extreme storm planet just drains it.
This is when I learned how much stronger and aggressive the Boundary Beasts attacks and aim get, if it turns from purple to crimson and comes right for you, watch out.
It one hit me with a full shield. Do not let that purple bar empty

Okay I think the theory of void mothers end game being escaping to LNF and it being a spiritual sequel might be true.
We just got a new text speech bar and it looks very fantasy like. Just like that new font.

Yeah and they keep saying things like, We know what you want. 
The storm crystals I gathered were on a tornado filled planet. I have never been so swept away before. Really wish I had it recorded. The last crystal I needed was right there. I had my fingers on it and then whoosh…away I went like Dorothy on her way to Oz.

I’ve found that if you walk 1000 - 1500 units away from that first site the scanner will find a new spot for you. I also look for two spots at a time, mark one with the scanner and travel to the un-marked one so I double the yield.

So I’ve noticed on PS5 at least, seeing lots of players and comm balls around but no bases.
Decided to make one myself and hey look… It’s the new text window again. A glass pane…
Are we all stuck in the world of glass and so any changes we make to the sim are not appearing on its surface layer!?! ;0; we’ve been tricked!!!

Okay yeah I just pinged the base to check for availability and it made a totally different noise, almost like the signal hit a ceiling.

I’m about to move on to that one I’ll let ya know if I figure it out.
I’m certain the purple drink makes it less chaotic, maybe find a peaceful planet so hazard suit doesn’t drain too quick.
I also love the messages they send you when you refill yr Anomaly Suppressor 
“Where did you go?” Or “Glass… Glass…” Like it’s the wicked witch saying Water the text becomes fully purple again too.

@sheralmyst can confirm, saw stars start to speed up as I was staring, took a purple drink and it immediately returned to normal speed, got the milestone

Back to the expedition, going through portal 4.
Is it just me or are the messages from comm balls quicker, and shorter now?
Saw lots of messages showing support for Palestine. I’m sure people will complain about bringing “politics” in.
Also saw one that was colour coded and made me laugh, justifying the existence of the nasty little eye sores

Gaxaral, the third system, has no space station.
This might be a good place to put a base because once you go through that portal there is no going back.
One of the milestones to keep in mind too involves discovering two exotic creatures, so grab em while you see em to save yourself backtracking later.
The new head appearance override seems to be bugged .
It has options to change colour, it even has three pattern choices with their own unique names (cursed, haunted, horrific), but they make no alteration to the appearance.

I am really beginning to believe the Sentinels hates us.
They let pirates attack me.
They let random pissy asteroid miners attack me, god forbid I fight back…
They let Horrors attack me…
God forbid I shoot a tree…
Now while I try to kill killer worms, they team up with the worms, the horrors and the ghost squids.

After my second portal trip I’m now glitched where no matter how many portals I visit I am not able to ‘activate’ them but not use the ‘blood’.
I think I have a broken mission.
Gave up after an hour of repeating my actions & turned off.

I am having an issue with this too. I drink the silver brew and it points me one place and I get the standard portal message. One time it finally worked and another I noticed a new portal waypoint and went there and it worked.
Some of my missions are taking a really long time to pop up and say I completed them. I wonder if this has something to do with it.
My only real complaint with this expedition is all the words popping up on my screen every few minutes. My screen is like a Tokyo night street scene with flashing adverts coming from every angle

Dumb question, but are you aware that there are different kinds of blood elixir? The instructions are far from clear, but I have found three different kinds so far - one made with pugneum, one with storm crystal, and one with atlantideum - they’re all called “elixir of blood”, and they look identical - but different portals will only operate with different blood elixirs.
Just saying.

Yes, that is confusing.
Also, the correct portal will state Boundary Wall.
And I am not certain but I think the proper blood elixir needs to already be in your inventory
My 16th stamp is now in place
and the addition of this thing to our bases is a bit unsettling…

I was thinking this could be the issue too so I came to say just in case, you beat me to it.
I unlocked some of the later blood vials earlier than I was supposed to too so that could cause even more confusion for people.

Has anyone heard if anybody’s tried seeing if the portal glyphs that show up with messages from the corrupt combine to lead anywhere?
It’s most likely just dressing but I’m too lazy to take note of any of them to check myself, I will be staring at them for a long time soon when making the lore book for this one
