Been there, done that. Tried warping, too. As far as I’ve seen in videos, the new mission was immediately visible in the log under the base archives, but I have nothing new in my missions tab.
It’s always been that way since NEXT, I think. A bit of a pitty, really.
This is interesting, I’ve not completed the main story yet, so no new quest for me. However I can buy the Nautlion and the new base parts from the Blueprint analyzer in my base. I also seem to have the round and square underwater rooms already.
In the Galactic Map when you have a system selected the end of the line containing the system name will say Water. so: Brialili System // E4pf // Water
Seriously? Because that would be the case for me too (didn’t complete it on the current save). Can anybody already tell that the stories are related, in which case this might be intended? Because if they’re not very closely related, this has got to be a bug…
It’s a bug. I just jumped to a system with a water planet and Dreams of the Deep just appeared in my quest log. Though the quest said I intercepted a signal, I did not get a communication prompt while in space
I have jumped 3 times, had a freighter battle, refueled in an asteroid field, got stood up by pirates at least 4 times… Not quite sure how much more I’d have to fool around. But for now I’ll just assume it’ll come in eventually…
Once you get it running, you might want to make a run to the Space Station to check out the new upgrades. Otherwise, be ready to go ashore and call your ship, fly to the next waypoint and then call the Nautilon. Even with the upgrades, some of my waypoints were 10 hours away… And the game does not save when you exit the Nautilon.
This update is awesome. But I just noticed under Network & Voice option for my PS4 that wasn’t there two days ago, top line says “Ambient Multiplayer :0n”
What exactly does “ambient multiplayer” mean? I’ve never heard this term in any game before.
I don’t know but its been on there for a while.
I’d be interested to find out for certain what that means.
I have it ON and I see characters (in multiplayer)
I presume this is for chance meetings outside of multiplayer?
I have questions too:
Does anyone with a full sellection of exocraft know if the Nautilon responds to an Exocraft Summoner radar thingy?
Does anybody know the range of the Exocraft Summoner: Distance? Planet? System?
Also for those wondering where the new underwater quest is:
On mine and my partners 2 new saves where the Artimis and Atlas quests are incomplete, the mission does not appear.
I gather it doesn’t show until after those missions are completed.
That seems to be the general case, but I don’t think it’s supposed to be that way. For the corsair, apparently it did show up after a while without completing those quests.
First, I have not completed the other quests and the new mission showed as soon as I went into space. Make sure there is deep water on a planet in your system. That seems to be one issue for some.
Second, I have summoned my Nautilus multiple times on my home planet, which is very necessary. Have not tried another planet but, the patch notes state you can.
