You know, examining the Prisms update, it was mainly a partial visual overhaul. Quite small in content for most who play on ps4, xbox, amd gpus or weaker hardware. but they threw in a couple other things such as the space station A.I. that currently does nothing and the caves were updated but it didn’t look like much was changed.
Obviously something is coming soon with the space station A.I. but the cave update tells us a bit more of what HG has planned too. Just like any new content, a development team first has meetings and plans for it. It tells us that they have sat down, had meetings, planned, etc. to update caves. With how little of a change that can be seen in the caves, it might be a hint that more is to come in caves too and they gave us a little so that this last update doesn’t seem like it did nothing for most players.
