If you’re really bored, you can watch this video of me telling you everything we just talked about!
Now I know this is probably nothing at all but what if the W/ARE company is a hint to the new cloud tech that has been talked about before. Especially with the name of the website… http://ware-tech.cloud/
edit: And look at the clouds flying by on the website. Again it’s probably nothing at all but I could imagine volumetric clouds like that in the game one day.
Wait, I haven’t received any mail from them since the one -6 days ago- to confirm my application to their newsletter… Anyone in same situation ? Or did i miss something??
I thought the same thing till I checked my spam folder. It ended up in there for some reason in my email lol.
Well I applied as Bygfoot studio. We really have an open source game.
Well nothing there yet… Already checked!
Per the W/ARE application: I would love to see the Citizen Scientist community pool our imaginations and create a some fictitious Indie Dev companies to which the groups would belong. Then each applicant could register under their “jobs” within the fictitious company. We could coordinate so that everyone who wanted to participate would be included.
This way, people who are confused by the “legit nature” of the application wouldn’t be discouraged from filling out the survey. IF it turns out to be a legitimate Real-Life business application, then we could all plead “I thought it was part of the ARG.”
I am myself curious if the application is somehow tied into the WeGames real-life partnership aspect. If it is, no harm-no foul! -)

I’d be totally into that!
Attention to all who wish to belong to an in-ARG game dev studio. Now hiring! No previous experience needed!!!
I created a topic for those interested to join the indie dev-team:
See you there!!
Can I join
For those wishing to sign up to Ware (I have).
In your browser, go to http://ware-tech.cloud/
It’s all in Chinese. Don’t worry. Scroll down to the bottom of the site, until you see this:
(You won’t see the English instructions - I added them).
Enter your email address, then click the red “submit” button. Pretty soon you’ll get an email.
That’s in Chinese, too.
It translates to:
Thank you for registering! You will receive the first technical newsletter on the next publication date.
Sincerely
At first sight that’s not easy, but we have to recap what we know about this “site”.
- We find the adress because of the ARG by Wakingtitan.com
- This is a chinese company, but with an american network adress (a bit strange no ?)
- if we have a look at a partial translation we can’t really believe that’s serious.
- Photos in the company profile come from “Public pictures bank”. Stuff is happening (STATUS updates-Myriad-W/ARE-NEXT) - #692 by JubiTheVille
- About their technology, they use tACS at 70Hz but if you read the linked article:" In contrast, 70 Hz tACS was ineffective during errors of commission following no-go cues, but increased performance during go trials." (so they use an ineffective frequency ?)
So we know that’s a fake company but… what to enter in the survey ? Not so easy to answer. Something we can try is “making groups” based on our CSD designations as we already know there’s a meaning for them.
EDIT:
The 5th question seems strange in my opinion:
What platform is your game currently on?*
Choose as many as you likeA PS4 B Steam C XBOX One D Tencent WeGame
Usually a game is developped for PC, Linux, MacOS, consoles and/or Android/Ios but here we have only the platforms where NMS Next will be.
let’s imagine a dev studio who manage to develop a game for PC, not sure that studio would like to answer “Steam” .
The Steam key a Spacing Guild member won in the email was for Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.
Dang it i spend a dew days in the hospital and i miss a bunch great now time to read for the next day and catch up
Maybe this is what was meant when we were told to gather external data and form groups (I forget exactly how it was worded)
I know I was thinking that but where would we even begin creating groups like what would we assign each person to we would really have to get coordinated and bring people from like YouTube Discord and everything together try and work out a system
I looked through the questions in the form and it does not get that specific. Just need a name, a game type, and what we believe the W/RE tech can do for our game, an email and then they stated the community would vote on the submitted responses… It is a bit confusing. On the other hand, they could really be looking for dev help for something in the NEXT update…however, I have felt through the whole ARG and all of the updates, that we, the community, are serving as Beta testers for new features etc…with this update being described as the biggest yet, we can expect a lot of bugs to work out.
If so, they already have a page:
http://www.hellogames.org/jobs/ (and if ypu have a look at the “about us” page, we can see that , in the team, they are…
16 )
One thing seems certain, if we don’t sign up, we may not gain access to the extranet site they are setting up
I don’t think the site is called ware i think it is VARE so the next game could be for V-R as well
