Now to give some more insight into the actual issue Reddit user Double_Violinist6869 describes.
The building part mentioned (SET_WEAPONBOX) is indeed included with the Basebuilding app/plugin, and considering it has an entry in some of the game files, can actually be placed using the app/plugin. However, it is not a part available in any build menu by default (planet/corvette/freighter base). It could be there are plans to do so with a future update, but for now, further functionality can only be made possible through modding. If any mod, like Beyond Base Building, has it included, it will have made some required changes in the game files to be able to handle it accordingly.
To go into further detail, by default (being present in some of the game files), it is not specifically set to be made available for building on a planet, corvette, or freighter base. It is not specifically set to be allowed on a planet or above/under water, and it has a limit of 0 set to planet, region, and various bases. It also does not come with any icon for a build menu, nor does it have a descriptive name set with additional info on it’s use for various sections like inventory, or build menu. That said though, this can all be altered through modding, to become functional enough to be able to handle it for being a functional ‘building part’.
So even though it can be placed by using the base building app/plugin, this will not modify the required behavior that should come with it to give it base building functionality in-game. This is likely why it results in issues once an attempt is made to do so. Of course installing a mod that does handle this functionality, should then also prevent this issue.
